Another lovely vlog. As I've settled more within myself, I, too, have found autumn has become my favorite time of year. As nature goes to rest, I find it a good time to take time for myself, slow down, and enjoy more quiet pleasures. I hope you feel well soon.

Hi Lauren, thank you for this beautiful vlog. So wonderful to see Paris unfold into Autumn and your joy in experiencing it through teas, candles, books and walks. I love to get out for a walk in the crisp Autumn air, especially early in the morning when things still feel fresh and new. I also cannot beat a luxurious bath and scented candle! Must go to Diptique and see what takes my fancy. I'm sorry you've had some difficult experiences. I can see they have been a little bewildering and left you with some sadness for now. I love that you are taking control of what you can by educating yourself so you can keep your heart open to all you deserve in life. Sending you love and peace from London x

What an utterly charming introduction to your video, absolutely beautiful shots of Paris and the stunning ceilings in the theatre, thank you for sharing that with us. Reading is so good, to immerse yourself in a book and forget everything around you , there isn't much else better. I hope you aren't too lonely in Paris, please tell us you have friends at work that you can socialise with, you are such a lovely person. Look forward as always to your next video and hope you feel better soon x

Hello Lauren, it is lovely to spend my afternoon with you listening to your video.I hope you are on the mend recovering from the cold, the autumn has arrived in Europe and we all start to feel the temperatures dropping. I have really enjoyed the content of your Paris vlog. France has so much to offer as far as the cultural sites, the art, its rich history and of course its literature.I am a keen reader myself and i was delighted you appreciate the classic literature. i enjoy the French literature especially Honore de Balzac, Victor Hugo, Emil Zola, Albert Camus, and Marcel Proust. I also enjoy poetry of Charles Baudelaire. When i was a child i read 'The Little Prince' by Antoine de Saint- Exupery but i understood its true message and meaning later on in life when i grew a little bit older. When i visit my native Poland i always pop into a book store to stock up on more books. like yourself i love reading in my native polish language, it is so much easier to immerse myself in books and poetry. It is good to read in the original language but sometimes the true meaning can be lost due to translation. Have you tried to read in French? Alexander Dumas is on my wishlist. i do like candles too and now it is the season for candles, books and warm blanket. Once again thank you Lauren for sharing your vlog, it is always great to watch videos. Greetings from Dublin. :)

Hi Anna, it's lovely to hear from you, thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! It's great to hear about your favourite classic French authors, do you have any favourite books that can to mind you could recommend? I relate so well to what you mean about understanding the true meaning and message of the Little Price... it's one of my favourite books, I purchased it in French a few years ago, my copy is back home in Sydney. Such an incredible book that touches so many people, I love that you mentioned it ❤ I haven't tried reading the large classics in French - at the moment I'm preferring to read them in English so it's easy and then hopefully I can re-read them in French. Hopefully you can add a Dumas book to your reading list soon, let me know which story you end up selecting! Really happy you enjoyed the vlog and wishing you a lovely Sunday evening ahead 😘

Hello Dear Lauren; thank You for showing and sharing all this. Most of all I love the Palais Garnier from this. I was around it, but not inside by myself. In the Shakespear & Companys bookshop I was and it was very impressive. What I love in autumn, You also love: to walk through the pretty more or less autumn coloured parks. Looking at the last roses and other flowers, which might surprise us there. And I did so today. (Between other destinations) Now with all these amazing experiences I wish You to have won back all (or near to all) the health and power for an amazing new week. 🤩💐🤗🌳🍁🌷🌹

Great vlog Lauren and good thing you been reading a lot. Getting back to what you love and just escape the real world or maybe learn something depending is genre is a good thing. Good pick up on candles and books in supporting local businesses. Sometimes we all need to take things slow. I just picked up a pumpkin and apple cinder donuts yesterday on Saturday (ig posted). A good right size for apartment. Hope you get out of the sickness and great video on the museums too.

Hi Irvin, thanks heaps and so glad you enjoyed this vlog 🙏 It's great to return to what we used to love and to learn as well, I totally agree! Oh those donuts sounds delicious, are they from Krispy Kreme? Thanks again and hope your week has started off great 😘
@IrvinAlvarado443 ай бұрын
@@LaurenGraceHarding oh no these apple cider donuts are farm fresh made at the site. You see that is the heart of what makes going to a farm or country place special. The making fresh stuff at the site and supporting local business. So this is a must in a northeast in the fall to find that farm with a corn maze pumpkin and hay ride that is what makes fall special.

They are the very best candles. LAFCO here in the US does a good job, but they don’t have as many scents. They are worth it, however, because the vessels are hand-blown glass that you can reuse as votive holders. Happy Birthday 🎂 (mine was on the 9th). The Brothers K will change your life ❤

Happy belated birthday 🎂🎉! This was a lovely autumn vlog! I love books, museums, and candles so it was right up my alley. Lauren those are some great book selections. The Count of Monte Cristo and The Brothers Karamazov are on my reading list too! I’ve also recently gotten back into reading (after leaving a stressful job). Currently I’m halfway through Frankenstein and I am really liking it, it’s much different than I thought it would be, but in a good way! 😊 Also I enjoyed seeing the video you took of the Palais Garnier, it is absolutely beautiful!

Hi Lauren, I really appreciate you talking about your books and opening up a little about the reason behind your choice in Il Principe by Machiavelli. Two years ago I've been to Chateau D'If near Marseille, and it put me in the mood to read the Count of Montecristo, but I have to be honest: I'm put off by the length. Let us know if you read it in the end eheh. I've always fancied dyptique candles. Who knows if I'll ever get round to it. Have you ever tried the Rituals ones? Borghese is pronounced /b o r g eh s eh/ (sorry I don't have IPA symbols in my keyboard) and I'm so happy you shared all these artsy bits with us too. That's what I miss the most about living in France: being surrounded by so much art!
@LaurenGraceHarding3 ай бұрын
Hi Lidia, how are you? Hope all is going well! That's great you were able to visit there and that it inspired you to read the book - it does look daunting due to the size but I think if it's a great story then you'll become easily immersed in it ❤ I'll let you know once I start reading it and how it's progressing 🙂 I haven't tried the rituals ones yet, do you have any recommendations? I've tried a few other Rituals products, my fave is their Ritual of Jing bath salts 😍 Thank you for the help with the pronunciation, it makes sense now! I understand what you mean, that's one of the things I've noticed and loved so much here, being surrounded by the art and beauty is amazing 💯 Happy new week 😘

@@LaurenGraceHarding hey Lauren, I’m well, thanks! I hope you recovered 🥰 yes, my favorite is the Rituals of Ayurveda candle. If you have a chance to sniff it, I think you’ll want to get it. It’s a sophisticated smell. Yes, doesn’t all the art inspire you to be creative with literally anything? I remember that’s how I felt. Inspired to write, sing, I even picked up guitar lessons at an MJC, was always going to museums and galleries, and ofc that would influence my style in clothing and composition skills.
