I'm from Pennsylvania I've lived in Las Vegas in the 2000s I loved it. Especially the weather Went to Reno once. It's smaller. But nice. Kind of reminds me of the 2 Pennsylvania cities debate Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia. Love Pittsburgh but hate Philly it's a west vs east thing here in PA in Nevada it's a north vs south

I hope you will continue to do videos. I have so many questions! Can you do a video about jobs in Reno compared to LV? Is Reno a friendly place to live & how does it compare to LV? Can you do a video about what it's like to live in in Reno on a typical day? Can you do videos about snow skiing/snow sports, spending time at Lake Tahoe & Lake Donner, etc? Can you do a video about the hot springs in the area? Also can you do videos about the areas around Reno that are not Tahoe related like Virginia City, Pyramid Lake, etc?

Hey Wendy, we'd love to go in depth about all of these questions. Shoot us an email.

Great video however you didn't get into sections of Reno few know about such as the new section of Cold Springs specifically the Life Styles Homes. It's a quiet city by it's self of beautiful new homes with Cold Springs parkway decorated with beautiful trees and a huge park in the center with additional smaller parks spread out in Cold Springs. We have a new Junior High School, and soon to open a two story elementary school. Next in line to be built is a high school! It's the best kept secret in Washoe County! If you drive through Cold Springs you must try our Grill adjacent to the main park!

Is there gated community? We are living in parq crossing in sparks and ready to get a house (which the area is sketchy too but the gate and swipe door in building seem to be working to fend off the craziness so far). Especially our lease will be up Dec, but seeing the neighbors app crime map and posts hold us back to think of what area is safe to buy.

Henderson and Summerlin are great family cities and you don't have to go to Las Vegas. Henderson has Coronado High school best public school in Nevada.

It’s all subjective to opinion. I prefer Vegas ‘cause it’s warmer. More to do too. Reno sucks for winter. Too much snow. I do like going to Tahoe though.

What about crime? I hear there are chaotic tent cities now in Vegas. What about average cost for apartment rentials and public transportation access? Where are the summer fires more of threat. You tout the magic of winter, but can't there be 10 foot blizzards in the Reno aea. Seems to me Vegas has high-end dining and bargain buffet spots they are famous for. Please dive deeper on these areas. And which area has faster, more reliable, 5G cell phone and WiFi?

I suspect a lot of ppls opinions will depend on age & income bracket. Lived in sh..hole Vegas 4 20yrs. Ppl come here temporarily to have fun & make their money & leave. I bet more ppl look toward Reno as a place to raise their kids.

I think that is pretty accurate. My father in-law lives in Vegas and they love it, but they also aren't raising children there.

Like any city there are good and safe areas and other areas such as down town Reno which has a population of transients. Further away from ground zero transient areas the safer it is. Cold Springs, Spanish Springs and areas in Sparks are great places to reside in. Cold Springs is exceptionally quiet with a great population of senior citizens and families. Absolutely quiet at night time. It's the gem of RENO!

@@joegibson6041 lmao, we don't have more diversity than NYC. We don't have several ethnic neighborhoods with deep histories. We got mostly just Anglos, Mexicans and Salvadorians, Pinoys and Vietnamese/Chinese, and occasionally a native and black person. Stop the cap.
