To anyone doubting the amount of money it takes to build a bathroom over a swamp / river, i urge you to be less cynical and less judgmental before you know the facts. Just because you think Vietnam is cheap, doesn't mean all construction is cheap. This was a serious job that required land to be raised and beams to put in, in other words NOT CHEAP and very laborious. They wanted to do it right for the last time. Before you go judging the monks actions of happiness, ask yourself why are you so cynical without knowing all the facts and assuming that every thing is cheap in Vietnam? At the end of the day many orphans and children get to use clean bathrooms. That's what matters. You can see the huge difference. Thank you to all of you who supported this cause.

Hey Kyle ive been watching ur videos for a couple of years now. I started cos i was going to visit Vietnam (to meet a girl) but that all didnt happen, since then i stopped watching u. Ive just in the last 3 weeks started again and i notice a difference in u. Before u were happier it seems that way anyway. If i can say anything is that ur good at what u do mate u have a good sense of humour but even i still sometimes cant tell if ur being serious or just joking. From watching ur vids on Viet again has made want to come there all over again. The fact that he said "cố gắng" and requesting you to put in more effort shows that the money is not going to the right place. If a monk truly appreciates your donation and using it for what they claim, they would NEVER say that. Real monks would just appreciate what ever amount you give them. All I am trying to say is use your observation when donating and not blindly give to them just because they are "monks" or any charitable entity.

How can you compare a house in Da Nang, with a swamp land in Saigon when you have no idea what the conditions are? Construction is not cheap, especially if you want quality work. If you find the video "Busy Day in Saigon" you can find exactly what he did with the money and the results. Do you think I'm dumb enough to blindly ask my audience for money and raise it for a cause that I am not sure about? This place was recommended by my former principal and her husband who was in the media. These people are not dumb. I didn't just find this place online and went there. What you see is edited bits and pieces. You don't see the whole amount of time or interaction off camera, so please don't judge a monk who is happy about receiving money when the kids needed something so badly.
