As a native upstate New Yorker, now in So Cal since 1989 - They're not even on the same planet. I rarely visited NYC. Los Angeles by comparison has LIFE. San Diego has FUN.

I've lived in both. San Diego was love at first sight but I slowly became bored. Now I'm in NYC for the jobs and night life. They're both great but totally different.
