Hi im a dj in South Africa thinking of moving there how is the party scene like that side?
@TheMYUZ32 жыл бұрын
Party scene is essentially non existent in my opinion. There is couple popular nightclubs one is a country bar called Longbranch other one is a mixture called Outlaws. These clubs are not great compared to bigger cities. Couple fairly popular gay bars too.

Coming from a person who has lived here for about 18 years, before moving here make sure you consider the absolutely brutal weather. This winter has been really tough. Weeks and weeks of -40 to -50 celsius with the wind chills. Lots and lots of snow this winter and the city does a pretty poor job of clearing it so make sure to purchase an suv or something with 4wd/awd and good winter tires. They don't even clear or remove snow in residential areas. High crime rate too, has been crime capital of canadian cities or close to it some years. Other than that its a decent size city with about 300,000 people, good restaurants, nice river running through it and reasonable real estate prices compared to rest of the country though prices have risen. About 400k-450k gets you a decent detached home in a middle class nicer neighborhood.

You did a great job explaining why people should move here. Thanks that’s awesome. You’re absolutely right. Great city. The amazing river. Affordable. Appreciate that so much.

Hi Scott! So glad I stumbled across your video. My fiance and I are from Victoria BC, but as I'm sure you know, it's extremely unaffordable here and we're looking for a friendlier community. So far, Saskatoon is looking like the best place in Canada for us to settle down! I've never experienced the temperature drop below -16C so of course I'm a bit worried about how long it will take me to acclimatize. Although I'm no stranger to a bit of wind, having grown up on the island, but I hear Saskatchewan has intense wind all year round. So my question for you is... is the wind really as brutal as I've heard?
@ScottZieglerSaskatoon2 жыл бұрын
Feel free to call me with questions. You will adapt to the cold right away. No ones died from moving here yet lol. Its not windy all the time. I'm looking for 70+ by 120+++ lot with trees that backs onto a river near Saskatoon (not too far from the core). In Winnipeg were 5 minutes from downtown and have this which invites tons of deer, fox, beavers, turtles and owls. Here it seems like most properties have a road or sidewalk that separates houses from the river apart from Saskatchewan Crescent which is my #1 choice right now.

Hi Scott. I am from India and planning to move to Saskatoon in few months, am worried about the weather conditions(extremelycold) as I am moving here with my 6 years old kid. And also am a hotelier by profession do hotel jobs are available there easily

It is cold for a few months in nov, dec, jan, feb but the good news is millions of immigrants have moved to canada and survived. I know you'll adjust just fine.

How is the personal training scene. I’m looking to move from Ontario and buy a home to start training from.
@ScottZieglerSaskatoon2 жыл бұрын
I’m not entrenched into that scene but I know it only takes a few clients to start a good business. With long winters here people are always looking to get active. Honestly if you’re good at what you do and have a facility you’ll make money. 💰
