Thanks so much for following up on my request, Stuart. Hope it wasn't too much of a bother. This video pretty much covers it. Take care, man.

Nice video. Would be even better if the camera will be faced more to the road than to the inside of the car. It's quite exciting to watch the city and suburbs.

If you are US-American you are always pay taxes in the US. Doesn´t matter where you are resident. Only country i know which does it like that.

Congratulation for your clear explanation, the neccesary incormation is well conveyed, even I speak the spanish language and I heard some videos from native (Spanish) speakers and is not summarized and clear as your explained here, thanks.

We are from Perth Australia we are both on Australian Pensions, we have lived overseas for periods of 6 to 8 months North Cyprus, never had any problems about tax from those countries, would we have to pay tax from our pensions in Spain, plus we will be renting out our house, can you please let us know if we have to pay the Spanish government tax on our earnings, ie our pensions, and the rent from our property. Enjoy your videos thanks again Robert

The taxes seem high compared to the USA. When I was in Spain, the sales tax were very high which is the primary type for a person living there temporarily.

Hi Stuart. I know this is an old video, and I'm not sure if you still check comments on this one, but I've been considering moving to Spain from America in a couple of years, and I was wondering if non-EU nationals residing in Spain are allowed to cross the border into other EU member states like a regular European, or if they have to wait until they're eligible for citizenship in Spain. Thanks!
@spainspeaks6 жыл бұрын
Hi, non-EU Spain residents do not have equal rights in other EU countries. Legally, you can only reside in Spain. However, if you live legally in the EU for 5 years, there is another card for the EU which makes it a bit easier to move from country to country. ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/legal-migration/long-term-residents_en

I have been fined for late submission of my return which was due to two hospitalizations and 1x brain cat sca and 2 x mri brain scans. Can I appeal?

Hi, you can appeal any fine and if you can prove you were in hospital for the whole tax period, they might listen to you.

Thanks for the video. As self-employed if I have contracts (as freelancer) outside Spain only, what income tax I have to pay?
@spainspeaks8 жыл бұрын
Hi, I am not an expert on the topic, but most likely you will have to pay tax on those incomes if you are a resident. If you spend 183 days here you are a resident for tax purposes.

residents in that matter means citizens ?
@charonstyxferryman8 жыл бұрын
No. Residency is not citizenship. Spanish citizenship is not easy to acquire. www.exteriores.gob.es/Portal/es/ServiciosAlCiudadano/InformacionParaExtranjeros/Paginas/Inicio.aspx www.exteriores.gob.es/Embajadas/OTTAWA/en/InformacionParaExtranjeros/Pages/Nacionalidad.aspx
