We can’t wait to share our newest Indonesian travels! We also want to share more about our daily lives with you. When we aren’t traveling the world, we are teaching in the remote town of Tembagapura, West Papua, Indonesia. In this video, we show you where we live, what we do on the weekends, and give you a tour of our home. Tembagapura is a tiny mining town, tucked beneath towering mountain peaks and countless waterfalls, and deep in a cloud forest. Indonesia has a varied landscape comprising of over 17,000 islands, with various cultural influences, dialects, religions, and foods. We feel lucky to live and work in such a beautiful place.

We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in Chennai, India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. We hope our vlogs will inspire you to get out and travel, too!

Aw, it's a really nice small town with good environment, the landscape can't lose to Switzerland 🥺 I love that the town surrounded by green mountains, with industrial buildings (it looks so different from what we have in Jakarta Selatan) but also got all the necessary facilities! (Even more complete! My eyes balled when you guys show the market) What a life! If you teach for 9 weeks and travel for another 9 weeks, then what do you guys do on the rest of the weeks in a year? And do your school teach only expat students or do they have locals too? Or do they have separate classes because the language barrier? How do you live for 8 months while transitioning job from Dubai to Papua? I mean, maybe you guys have enough savings from last job and yt monetization or maybe you run some business? How do you guys manage your financial so you can travel the world? Also, I'd love to see some tips/hack for traveling! (Just like on your old videos) maybe later on you can include some or make it on yt shorts? Oh, I got so many questions and many things I want to express, but I already forgot! 😂 I hope I'll live this way too soon! Make myself happy with enjoyable, passionate work 🥰
