Just keep on doing your thing. I for one couldnt care less about all the drama there. Most of the videos about that are just to gain views. How is the construction going next door. It will be interesting to see how that is coming along. Take care
@buildingthephilippines6 ай бұрын
I need to get over there and do a video. It's all about the views and not about ethics. I will choose ethics every time.

I watch your channel because I can relate to what your channel is about. I am married to a Filipina from Bacolod. We are planning to retire in the Philippines in a few years, and I find your channel extremely helpful in giving us ideas on how to proceed with that process. The simple life is all we are looking for. I can't wait to leave the rat race of the US to do nothing but relax in the Philippines. Best of luck to you guys.

For some KZbinrs it’s all about the views and subscriptions. That’s how some of them survive. Controversy sometimes gets views. Sex usually gets views. Greg if you did a video of you in a sexy bikini you might get 200k views too 😂. As my girlfriend and I are planning to build a house in CDO, we watch mostly home building channels. She just did a major add-on to her farmhouse in Mindanao where her dad lives. It looks good in the pictures. She’s going there next week to check it out and then both of us are going in June. At some point we’re going to install solar there. I’m hoping that when we build our house in a few years we’ll have most of the wrinkles ironed out before we start. We also like the channels that go to different places in the Philippines and elsewhere.

I don’t follow those Vloggers who want to put dirty laundry in the wind, especially for views. I also don’t follow those who strut their bikinis 😡 There are only 3 channels in Negros that I follow, yours, the guy we had coffee with, and a mutual friend of yours and the other guy. I consider you 3 to be honest, responsible people, and friends. 👍 I’ll sent you a PM

@buildingthephilippines exactly mine a hobby just to save experience while showing some of the areas of the Philippines. Thanks for keeping it real. I only watch home construction in the Philippines as me and my wife are planning to build in about 2 years. Sad that there are so many negative videos circulating around on KZbin. We are a private couple and really stay away from drama. When we start to build our home i want to produce constructive educational videos that people can use. You are correct in staying away from the nastiness that is surfacing. Keep the great content coming. Looking forward to the new builder and security videos.

While we don't always agree, you and Wilma are spot on in this video. I found during my visit a few weeks ago, that While visiting with some KZbinrs, some tried to pull me into the Duma drama. It wanted none of it. I completely agree, if you have nothing nice to say ...say nothing. I hope we can meet up when I return this fall. I know exactly the young lady you speak of .. and her bikini vids. I have always enjoyed watching your home build. I especially want to thank you for your charitable contributions to your community . glad to see you back online...and I like your attitude towards not getting involved with the problems of others. Basically the reason I do not strive to meet other foreign nationals/ex-pats..live and let live, take care of your own, provide for those that mean the most to you, as you say, in the second half of your life and wanting to leave your family in a fine state of comfort. These are my points of life as I live it for myself and the wife. I have watched your home build (great looking home) and parts of it I think of doing myself (build the outer walls first then the house)...thanks for all advice you give as a home owned...just heard of your solar project and now you mention your solar guy and others..ideas to find new business's and going through the process of building in the Philippines.......

My partner (Filipina) and I are seriously considering not retiring in the Philippines. It seems as though the Philippines is becoming a "dump your worst type of foreigner" on our shore's kind of country nowadays. I have been traveling to the Philippines since 2008 and have also actually lived in both Pampanga and Cebu several years ago. And so, to me the Philippines is not nearly what it used to be, primarily because of the poorly behaved Expats nowadays. Retirement in the Philippines would be nearly the same as retiring in America amongst the same types of negative Americans that I'm trying to get away from. We may purchase a Condo in BGC just to have a footprint, or home base if you will. But we are looking to other countries to spend roughly 60% to 70% of the time in. And just Airbnb the Condo in BGC during the months we are not there. We have enjoyed watching your videos. Wish you and Wilma all the best.
@buildingthephilippines6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Wilma and I have met some of the nicest couples. As you are right, their are less than desirable expats here. We simply avoid them. At the same time, we have found many couples to be great people. Our circle of friends has been wonderful.
