Forget it man there are so many people I've met in the city who are obviously driven but just happened to fall into some niche or weird job that makes so much money it makes your head spin as to why you're still struggling. Comparatively to the world its not a lot of people but the density of them in Manhattan will make you feel like an abject failure sometimes.

FYI Danby Appliances Inc. is a Canadian company that makes all types of appliances (large and small). It was founded in 1947. I came across them while looking for a butter churner. They make good strong stuff. I'd trust that fridge any day.

Haha I love when a place looks rough because it makes the place cheaper. Between two apartments that are the same size and have the same amenities, but one's covered in graffiti from the outside and is 1000-2000 dollars cheaper, I'm grabbing the graffiti-covered one.

But they don't have the same Amenities apartment wise sure but the actual residential sections the cheaper one has none of that. Plus having a doorman is never losing your packages.

What did they do… since Covid, did they take what apartments where there and divide them in half to make two? Or three?

Somit is a very nice man to allow Cash and Alex into his home. (I'm sorry if I misspelled your name). He has a very nice condo, but man, that's seven times what I pay for a beautiful, spacious, one bedroom apartment.

Wow that is so sad that people have to live there. I walk out my backyard right into the mountains and my neighbors couldn't be friendlier. I'm originally from New York but try to keep it a secret.

Somat is a personable guy and very generous. Once I began hydrating my eczema is a thing of the past and I don't have chapped lips anymore, or I would buy his product. His apt. is beautiful and definitely better than the one across the street. The vermin in the walls of the older apt. will chew that plastic piece in the bathroom to bits to gain access to food, just sayin'. Chuck

The first building I have always considered cursed -- that whole stretch of buildings on 3rd ave, in fact. Any businesses that go in there close within months. I wasn't even sure the apartments were still occupied, always looks dark when I walk by at night. The second building is named after a character from ATLAS SHRUGGED (I can't remember the name, but it's 84 3rd ave if anyone wants to check) so obviously the owner is a big Ayn Rand fan, and I'm assuming that's why the lobby is designed to look like something from BioShock.

That is not 84 Third Avenue. That address has a high Westside Market on the bottom level.

@@doctorzaius4084 OK, I’ve got it now. The entrances to both buildings are off 3rd Avenue on 12th Street. I didn’t realize the Westside Market was so big that it wrapped around that corner. Thanks for pointing that out.

Alex is too young to remember appliances that simply turn on and off. Ouch! I'm old enough to remember how exciting it was to go from an "ice box" to a refrigerator which didn't require blocks of ice being delivered to the house. 😬

@@wernerdanler2742 I'm only four years older than you.😁 I also remember the "rag beggar" driving down our street with his horse and cart! And I grew up in a mi-western city where i guess we progressed a bit more slowly than other areas of the country.
