I left Waynesboro in 2003 and I remember they were just about to start building Wal Mart. I can see they didn't stop there and the place has exploded since then.

Good video but you should include the Basic City side of town where it is changing and show all sides of what people are getting. New homes being built in that area as well priced better,

LOL my daughter walks her dog through that tunnel frequently!
@SMElder-iy6fl5 ай бұрын
The tunnel was built at a time when workers had to drill holes and fill them with gunpowder. It was, of, course built for the railroad, but replaced when trains became too large for it.

Exactly! Can you imagine what that would have been like to have so much manual labor to build such a structure? It's truly amazing!

The downtown area is still underdeveloped. Many vacant storefronts. Has great potential.

Hi, saw your 6:40 video thanks for sharing. I’m from Maryland I retired in 2019 and relocated to Florida to get to know family. I brought a home in Florida. Florida is beautiful but I’m realizing Florida is not my State to reside. I’m looking to relocate to be closer to my children who live in Northern, Va and Maryland. I’m looking to move to Virginia or NC. I’m not into HOA controlled communities. I’m a country girl born and raised until I married and moved to Maryland. Can you show homes in non-HOA communities and rural areas? Thank you👍🏽👍🏽

Thanks for this video. I'm from Chesapeake and my father has been looking to moving into one of these Shenandoah cities (Staunton, Waynesboro, etc) for some time. Being from Hampton Roads I'm used to the big populations, so seeing these has helped me get a look at a potential near-future in the mountains, which I will say it will be different but I can get used to.

Waynesboro is NOT in The Shenandoah Valley. It is in The Great Valley of Virginia. Shenandoah Valley is ONLY the area west of The Massanutten Mountain.

One of the things you want to consider about Waynesboro is that it doesn't have it's own hospital. Having said that you do have world class medicine available to you less than an hour away at UVa.
@ssjsyriene6350 Жыл бұрын
There's also a hospital in Fishersville which is about a 10-15 minute drive depending on where you live. It isn't as advanced as uva but can meet the needs of most.

Worth a read is the biggest local real estate scandal by far, the blight that is currently Afton Mountain, which sits atop the tunnel you mentioned It's yer stereotypical good old southern boy screeching "get off my lawn, stay off my lawn, i can do whatever i damn well please with my lawn" and he has created a pox on what should be a prime location
