LIVING OFF CAMPUS IN COLLEGE VS ON CAMPUS // PROS AND CONS!!

I would’ve had to take out over 15k in loans to live on campus. But I got An apartment off campus that was around the same distance as on campus housing. I only pay 650$ for my own room so I’m saving a lot of money! This is in so cal

@@jenaé_Piko Off-Campus. My apartment is going to be 1 bedroom and it's near the football stadium for my school. I get the keys in about 3 weeks and will take most of august to move in since my classes don't start until august 30th.

Love this video! I wish I could live in my dorm again, I lived in Apache, I had a single room and it was so spacious! But I just graduated, I’m going back for grad school and La Aldea is expensive so I just signed a lease for an apartment nearby. Hopefully we can go back to campus😭 I love it there

I was lokking forward to thrses tips videos. Couple of questions, can you kind of break down tbe different dorms at U of A, and also, what does one wear when walking from dorm to community shower,? Hi I go to U of A and thought I’d just give advice. I say highland is the best dorms in terms of location. Close to classes, other dorms, the union, and it has highland market. Well lit and feels very safe at night. These include likins (most popular of all dorms), vdp, Colonia de la Paz (rlly great and biggest dorm on highland so good for being social also), psp, cienaga, Apache, Hopi, and graham greenlee. The last two are not the best in terms of rooms and being up to date but they are the cheapest on highland. Park district would be Arbol, Coronado, AzSo, kahu, and Cochise. First 3 are v popular and v big. Rooms at arbol are big and nice. The only downside would be it is a farther work to everything. you have historic district that are budget friendly dorms but not as up to date. These are like manzi-mo the worst location. So from from everything, but I don’t know too much about how the rooms look. In regards to shower Attire, I wore a Velcro towel or a robe, most just wear towels but others go in their clothes and bring clean ones w them and change in the bathroom. But honestly it’s very unnecessary; I never ran into anyone and if I did it was like one neighbor and nobody cares or is looking at how you go to the shower. He will be fine, it’s going to be a great experience!

No you don't have to get roommates. You can find one-bedroom apartments off campus.

@@liveoffthewallco I'm going to be at a regular not school associated apartment. It's about 1 mile off-campus but on the bus route that goes to campus. I had to have a guarantor on my lease since I didn't meet the income requirement of the apartment complex.
