A good way to save water is to recycle you shower water. Shower into a tub and pump the water through a filter back into a grey tank. You can then use the same water for 3 to 5 showers. Ive gone up to 7 times. love the work you do.
@OutbackGoldFever3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip Brendan. It would have to be a pretty good filter for OUR shower water ☠
@brendanclarey98413 жыл бұрын
Not really. Its not drinking water. You can make your own filter for nicks. For eg.. Coffee filter paper will work in a gravity system if you alow the water to settle. Then use the top 2/3 of the grey water tank. Time is something you have on side. A gold fish tank? Awsome filters there.... Sand filter from a pool. Only you can make it in a bucket. A stocking full off wool in a pipe. Just made that one up. Hahaha You have a shower at the end of a day to wash off dust and sweat. Its also the biggest consumption of water. Oh and yes it can be purified to drink.

Just a few questions from the States. Love your vids. 1. Where do you get water? 2. What are the rules/laws for prospecting and searching for nuggets? 3.How far are you from a town? 4. What if you need medical care ( broken leg - tooth ache etc.) ? 5What snakes do you have to avoid? Your set up is very similar to mine in the states. I don't hunt for gold but I fly fish for trout for about 7 months a year in our Rocky Mountains. Really like your vids - good luck on your adventures. I don't worry about snakes nearly as much as I do Grizzly Bears. I guess we all have our own issues to deal with.
@OutbackGoldFever3 жыл бұрын
Hi William, 1. we have to fill up our water tank and containers in town. 250 litres last us about 2 weeks (having a shower every night) 2. The law for prospecting differs from state to state over here 3. In this video we were only two hours from town 4. We'd call for help in an emergency, otherwise we'd drive to the next doctor / hospital 5. We avoid ALL snakes - too many venomous ones You worry about Grizzlys - out here it's the drop bears

Great video thanks. I also like the pick you're using - robust but not too heavy, where could I get one?

Mark's pick was a gift and I got mine from the Prospector's Patch in Kalgoorlie. We struggled finding picks in hardware stores, can't beat the varieties in good prospecting shops 👍🏻⛏

Thanks for sharing your camp setup, my I ask what is the tape holding on your coil. David
@OutbackGoldFever3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, David 👍🏻 . The tape is holding an aftermarket heavy duty skid plate to the base of the coil.
