Your salary is 100% minus the % taken away before you get that salary . Like, your pay should be..... 110, 000 but you are paid. 100, 000. Another way, your work is worth 110,000 but you are paid only 100,000. In the US your income tax is 10,000 but your work is 110,000, Thus you check is 110,000 - you income tax 10,000.
