I wish you’d bring back this series. I really enjoyed your ideas and the breakdowns on cost. It’s very inspiring and makes low income loving seem more realistically possible I think. I enjoy the talking videos too, but I miss the cooking ones!

Wow, I've never met another person (BESIDES MYSELF) that hates her eggs getting syrup on them, can't stand the texture of bananas, doesn't like bacon, & is proud to try & live thrifty, very AWESOME!

I know this is a much older video of yours but I really like your cooking series it just goes to show that people in low income can actually eat good and not eat the crap too many times I see people in the store with the food stamp card and they’re buying high-end dollar stuff and then they complain they don’t have food the rest of the month they don’t portion out and they buy too expensive stuff it’s OK to buy cheaper and still live off a good low income budget

Wow! That is a lot of food. That is like Christmas breakfast for us. I eat oatmeal and a banana or other fruit, every day, for breakfast. 40 cents a day....maybe less.

Excellent video - I agree, breakfast is one of the cheaper meals to make. To save even more money, you could make your own pancake mix and store it in a large Tupperware. All it is is flour, sugar, baking powder & salt. Add your own eggs & use powdered milk with water.

Look up a recipe for pancakes. Flour and baking powder and salt. So much cheaper then pancake mix!
@shannonpalma42263 жыл бұрын
Well .06 for a pancake is a pretty good bargain...
@ladydelina133 жыл бұрын
@@shannonpalma4226 totally agree! If you can find water only needed mix on sale, go for it. But often pancake mixes need more. And a from scratch pancake mix using fresh ingredients is only .12 cents a pancake. And that's using aldi sizes and prices. If you buy bulk flour or oil, you'll drop it even lower. Plus it uses items i have for bread, biscuits, and cooking already. My recipe is 1 egg, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour, 1 T sugar, 2 T oil, 1 T b.powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt. 9, 4 inch pancakes.

$800 is how much I spend every month too. Well now it's $60 less because I got rid of cable, and I just have The Internet and Netflix. Anyhow I have to be on a strict gluten, dairy, and soy free diet. So for pancakes I use the Bob's red Mill, there a little bit pricey and the same with other brands, so when I make pancakes with my eggs I will make just one pancake. I wish GF foods would come down in price, that would help my wallet a lot! Great video too!

I’ve been watching your videos for the last couple of days. I’m glad your channel came into my feed. I too don’t care for bacon and get stomach pain when I eat early in the morning, unless I’m really hungry then it’s ok. Lol. So weird. Yet I am able to have coffee with creamer, or plain water, but anything else is a big no. In another video you mention Molly. Who is Molly? Lol. Your were addressing why you only cook for one person.

Here is an inexpensive, gluten-free breakfast that has plenty of protein: cook a serving (or more) of old-fashioned rolled oats using a little more water that usual so the porridge is somewhat soupy. Remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons (per serving) of powdered milk which has been mixed with just enough water to make a slurry. Next stir in one (per serving) briefly beaten raw egg. The heat of the piping hot oatmeal porridge will cook the egg and make a creamy, custard-like oatmeal porridge. Now season and garnish your oatmeal the way you like (sugar, honey, ground cinnamon, nuts, dried fruit...).

This is probably a bit of a stupid question, but do chickens lay eggs just like that, all the time, without having had.. you know.. "sexy time" before? ^^ Because they'd have to do that quite frequently to lay _that_ many eggs, so I wondered if that's maybe not even necessary. EDIT: Nevermind, I just googled it, and wow, these guys apparently sh*t gold constantly, wth O_O
@PrepperPrincess5 жыл бұрын
Yes, they lay eggs without roosters (boy chickens). The boy chickens are only needed to add sperm to the eggs AFTER they have been laid in order to have a baby chick. If you have no roosters, they still lay eggs, but the eggs will never turn into chickens. I see you just googled it. Nevermind.
