I panic when I leave my yard. I have driven 45 miles to Sam’s club taken 1 look at the parking lot and turned around and drove back home because of so many people. I’m so thankful for you both for giving me a gift of seeing things I could never experience for myself. I think this is your best video. What a fun adventure. I hate that you miss the close family life. Normal life. Goodbyes are very hard for me too. FaceTime is a good tech if you can use it.

When we were cruising back in our forties, we went thru similar emotions but worked through it a little at a time and had some amazing experiences like you are discovering. We are in our late 60’s now and I am so glad we went while in our forties with our two kids. And NOW we get the bigger boat. 20 years ago the four of us were on a 30 ft double ender. Hang in there and lean on your community for help. You make community where ever you go.

Sierra,That was Heartfelt, I cried with you! I lost my Mom 3years ago & wish I’d had more time with her & I was 65 then, I enjoy all yr videos so much, but that touched me so deeply, I think I’d have to take 3-4months off to spend with Family,once they’re gone,they’re gone,but @ same time we’re only young once. I never thought about it as much as I am now, I know everything will be fine, but it’s got to be hard,probably harder on you than Billy, I’m a M, but I’m on your level,🙏❤️

Aww, Sierra. Great episode. I'm working on the refit of my Tartan 37 which I'll probably sail solo, and although I'll be leaving family again, (this my 3rd trip south), the adventure is worth it. I feel ya, Sierra. I visited Bonaire a few years ago just before Xmas, on a solo scuba trip. I can definitely relate. Don’t let any of the commenters diminish or dismiss your feelings; what you feel is real. Living aboard fulltime is a lot of work, and it can be exhausting. Now may be a good time to take a break for a surprise visit with family+friends for a little while and regain your center 🫶

It was so great to see my islands in your videos. My mum comes from Curacao and I was born in Aruba, while my father was Dutch. You said you might stop over in Aruba, hope you will so I can catch your visit. Quite different from Curacao and Bonaire I would say, very touristy ofcourse, but there are also caves etc to see but you do need a good 4 wheel car to get there. Not as great for snorkelling really but there is a good wreck of shore. The north coast is very dramatic for sure. Hope to see if you end up going there. I love y'all's life and very much enjoyed the diving videos, up until the caves. I know they are safe, but it makes my stomach hurt thinking about doing that. The worst kind of death to me would be getting trapped down there. Gives me the hibby jibbies.

All lifestyles he ave the great stuff and the drawbacks. Boat life is definitely a do or don't do lifestyle. You may get the urge to be in a family way in the coming years and will likely need to live the demographic of that style. Just remember you are making memories that can never be taken away and you can still be boaters by ut in a different way. And later in life you can always come back to this way. Another thing to remember is though you miss a normal lifestyle, likely most of your family and friends envy your life. This is you classic "parting is such sweet sorrow". It fades and returns but its never permanent. 🎄 🎁 Merry Christmas to you all 🎁🎄

Hey guys, please be very vigilant moving around down there. Sailing Supernova was attacked about two weeks ago going from Bonaire to Grenada. Darcy was able to break out a can of whoopass on the two guys and speed away from them on their catamaran. They were very lucky. One of the attackers had a gun.

Theres give an take in any thing you do in life. But you are young ,you still have your health and you are blessed to live a life most people can only dream about. Being home has its benefits but a 9 to 5 job maybe a day here or there where you can go do something can get really boring and then throw in all the problems of everyday life and you really have a great life. Enjoy it while you can ,some day you will wake up and be old and then you wont feel like doing the things you now do even if you are lucky enough to keep your good health. You have a wonderful husband whos your best friend and you get to spend so much quality time togeather seeing new wonderful places. You have the best that life can give enjoy it while you are young,youll be old before you know it and it goes by so fast.
