Let me just add quickly. I used to play trombone. My son started playing it. He is now in his Junior yr of college in the US and is a Music Ed major. He plays in their orchestra and they played Pictures last Friday night. I was very familiar with the music but was surprised how Ravel had given the tenors such a small part until really the finale (which is very rewarding). The bass trombone actually plays more than the 2 tenors throughout the piece. I am so happy that you have taken the orchestrations in the opposite direction and shown what the trombone can do. Bravo!

There is some very, very good trombone playing out there and you can certainly add yourselves to that list. I had just finished watching the Romeo & Juliet for 2 trombones and piano arranged by Mr Karlin and enjoyed that very much also. Thank you for your additions to the repertoire!
