You removed the potato from that canvas bag like it was the Hope Diamond...lol. Good to see you're alive, man. I thought maybe a BC samsquatch got the best of you. Or more likely, a chupacabra..I hear they're on the rebound since c19. Sadly it's taken me this long to recognize you're return to YT. I used to pop by once in awhile, but gave up about a year after you sold RLO. Then c19 and the rest is a wash. But what I really want to say is, I'm super happy for you and that you kept the title of Olive L Outpost and Claire wasn't able to shove you out! Good for you, Harlan. What a dream spot. WCPP is easy living (not referring to the sweat equity and build of the outpost) Pick a spot on any shoreline and you're lighting a fire within minutes, and eating walleye shortly after that. My profile photo is me holding a plate of fresh walleye caught on Glenn Lake. F*ck I miss that place so much. If I ever return, which I hope to, I'll definitely look you up and see if you're kicking it in there. We'll get together for a fish fry and sit around the campfire telling old war stories. Merry Christmas, Harlan.

Watched spaceballs for the 300th time last night! You are for sure the Pullman character, your wife is the feisty princess, I’m comfortable enough with myself that I am John Candy “barf”. Lord Helmet is the on screen representation of the WCPP leadership bungling everything! May the Schwartz be with you Harlan!

Norwegian tea pot, boiled fish, Norwegian heritage? Really not solo with the dog. Nice video. Badger Leatherworks is sole retailer in States for the pot. You also get one of their great waxed cotton storage bags. Get on their waiting list.

Talk to me, what rod and reel setup did you run? Is it different from what you would use in the canoe?
@solotripper4 жыл бұрын
that was a St. Croix Legend Tournament 6'3" jigging rod with Abu Revo S 20 reel. For the canoe I have two rods, one a trolling rod is a bait caster which is 7'6" cranking rod to really get my lure out there. The other is a 6' jigging rod. Thanks for watching, hope that helped.

solotripper I enjoy your videos Harlan! I have watched since Joe Robinet was up the first time. I am recovering from a cervical spine surgery right now. So no paddling, backcountry hiking and fishing for me til August! I enjoy seeing the difference in tackle, not just person to person but also regionally. Thanks for the response! Also, you have a lot of SD cards to fill until I’m back up and running! Cheers-MillimeterMech
