I am a Brit with a French wife, one thing we love is the proximity of the Cote d'Azur and the Alps - on the beach then in the mountains skiing before you know it. Going to sell our house in the UK and buy, probably in Cavaliere ...I will be looking out for the " Gloria" badged van going past! Love your approach to life Ame - I always look out for your videos!

I think her father helped her with some of the camera work after he joined her, and apparently skied along with her while holding the camera so the camera could follow alongside her, but I agree that she did some of the camera setups of her own near the beginning that took a lot of work -- the ones that showed her skiing past the camera. She does indeed work hard every week to produce a quality video.

She really puts the effort in for the audience. Carrying a stand or tripod. Setting it up. Checking the shot is in frame. Maybe a few takes to get it right, or someone gets between her and camera. Then go back and get the camera, onto the next shot. Picking the music, the edit, it all takes time and skill. I would not be surprised if she's a bit of a TV producer, director or movie maker in the future. She's learning her craft. Probably could make a good music video for a band.

I wish she was my bestie! 😅 Your brain is magnificent. How you put your videos together, it takes me on a journey and makes me feel like I was there with you, like just two friends talking. As a legally blind, chronically ill, disabled person, I’ll probably never get to accomplish my dream of traveling Europe. Your videos have made me feel like I am seeing Europe. I tried skiing on about six holidays. Never got beyond the blue runs but a fear of heights does that to you. I treasure one afternoon in St Moritz (day trip from another resort!) when it all came together, perfect snow and in the zone. The apri ski was always brilliant but I enjoyed sitting in the sun, on a veranda of a restaurant at the top of a mountain eating hot pasta! Great days.

I was lucky enough to call Truckee my home for the past 4 years. Squaw Valley was just 15 minutes away from my home and it was absolutely wonderful. I could ski to my hearts content. Sadly I'm back in San Francisco but will forever look upon those years as just the best. Between skiing and biking, you always had something to do in Truckee. Van life seems tough, but extremely liberating at the same time. Not having you're entire life tied to a "place" but rather wherever it takes you. Not sure I have the cajones to do it full time, but I would love to take a crack at it in my Land Cruiser.

Great vid! I went to Morzine / Avoriaz a month ago and it was perfect conditions, good snow coverage but sunny and no slush. I recognised all the runs you were on, but felt a little sad for you as initially the conditions looked pretty slushy and sparse. Glad you got a dump of snow though and partied. That's what the Alps are all about, ski and party hard! ;)

Amelise, have you also tried snowboarding or just slalom skiing, and do you also like snowmobile and ATV rides in the winter? It's really good for adrenaline, we had the opportunity to rent ATVs in the Latvian city of Valmiera, but that mountain was closed because it went bankrupt, the only place where we could relax. Skiing, and having a great time
