@@1972dsrai while vlogging. Ok man. You may be struggling but you can still afford the internet? A phone, I know you're trying to make it on KZbin. I see what you're doing. Nothing wrong with it. I love that you're surviving and being strong. But, it doesn't change the fact that what you're going through is a first world problem. You don't know what poverty really is. I came from a third world country. I lived the life of a person that didn't have anything. You still get to go to a fast food place and get food. You still have the internet for entertainment, or what ever. First world problems. I've worked hard to get myself out of hell. And you are just vlogging about a life you barely lived. Again first world problems. The truth is, it's easy to make a life for yourself here in the United states or Canada. People complain about the most trivial things. Even the homeless have internet. Take it from a person who lived the life. You are making your life harder for views. You know you are better than this. The city you're in has plenty of opportunities.

I also agree with him that living outdoors is always better during the winter if you can manage to stay warm and dry. The extreme heat of the summer, the explosion of bugs, and the crazy rain storms make out door survival almost unbearable. Myself for example, I can’t sleep when I’m too hot. These days I see a lot of KZbin videos of Americans ( in this case, Canadian) living an "outdoor experience" in vans and tents. A lot of people in the comments, most likely young people, seem to look at this form of lifestyle as idyllic when it is of course not. This man is living a hard life and he should be admired for being able to do so, but he is by no means in an enviable position, and not one that people in a first world country should aspire to be in.

A great video my friend...I too live free just like you, but the mayor difference is that I can only stay a day or two at each site, because here in the US, the people will quickly call the cops who then chase you out....Once in a while, if I find a very good spot that doesn't flood and that is not too far from food, I may stay a few weeks, but generally I am always on the move. You have a great place that you put a lot of effort in making comfortable. I have often thought of trying to survive winter camping up north....but at my age, 63, It is really difficult carrying around so much winter gear...But the advantages of no bugs, no ants, no mosquitos and no lightning storms is tempting...Saludos!

anthony ali I am aggravated by folks who take advantage of others and call it a life style option, write about screwing the government when you are actually taking advantage of a landowner who pays his/her taxes. We are farmers who take seriously our job as land stewards and are not jealous of you but I do not expect non farmers to understand that, and I do respect the right of everyone to make their own choices. It is when those choices involve taking advantage of others , such as squatting, is when I lose respect for the person who is a freeloader off the work of someone else. Calling you out for squatting on private property is not looking down on you and I could care less about how much money has slipped through your hands or how well or not you have used the education you were fortunate enough to receive. Your life is your own, go live it on your own place or pay that foreign to you thing called rent. (Just curious how you handled renters in your properties who may also have shared your idea of rent being a foreign concept that they could not understand or respect.) I am not a mlkmaid, or a slave, or a servant any other disrespectful title you wish to call me. Whatever. Our discussion ends here as we both understand how we each feel about the issue of squatting. Name calling is not something I will abide. Shalom.

Nothing in life is easy not even for the rich. Im not rich but I am thankful every day for what I do have. All we know about you is that you made a video showing how you have survived 3 years camping in a shelter you built. It was a good video. You are an intelligent person its obvious but we don't know why you are there or why this is your life. We don't know what you have been through so when someone simply makes a comment or offers prayers for you it is based on what they see and sometimes it's all they have to offer. You could simply say thank you or not respond at all. Don't be angry at people who simply care enough to say a prayer for you and lash out at them because you are pissed off at God or don't believe or whatever the case may be. Wow! Unbelievable! Can I ask you if you reread your comment and REALLY have any idea how ignorant you are? I think he's doing the best he can. And doing a hell of job surviving. I am pretty sure he did not wake up one day and say,"hey think I should go and be homeless without money." If you had ANY clue you would know of a whole host of problems you must deal with if you have no permanent residence. Didn't your mother teach you if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

I lived outside like this for 7 plus years in the woods. But I was in a smaller city in North Carolina. I can't imagine living in the north, although I can't stand the heat. But snow on tarp or tent is just unbelievable. I have to drop the tarp because of snow, which rarely happens in Fayetteville NC and heavy wind. You might want to look into solar cooking for cost. But North Carolina has a lot of sun. It has good rain sometimes for water collection, which is good for me particularly. I sleep on Pallets and tarp (for moister) and tarp as a floor to minimize mud deposits and sleeping bag with blankets. It can get really cold in North Carolina 15 degrees F in the night in January. I don't really mind the cold as long as I'm dry. I keep an extra Tarp for storage and storage bins.

At list you have a place were you are stationary and do not have to worry about the authority forcing you to move. All your belongings are also protected. You don't have to worry about people stilling your stuff. You are not exposed to the elements. You don't have to worry about which public toilets you have to use and you are at list in place private enough to clean yourself. When you work your money is yours. The food you buy and cook in your camp is a whole lot better and cost effective than eating in MacDonald's or any fast food restaurant every day. Men!!!!!!! For a homeless man you are doing a whole lot better than some other homeless people who have to sleep on the streets. Consider yourself blessed brother, you are not at the bottom of the totem pole.

The government took down the tent city here, so those who were benefiting from the relative safety of it are now having to fend for themselves alone elsewhere and are worse off than before. Those people are still around here so what was accomplished by their act? Nothing good- they only hurt those who were already hurting even more with nobody benefiting from that.
