I think the livingroom is "looking fabulous " Well done indeed. The furniture is very pretty and creative a very welcoming space. I love the olive tree - it's so pleasant to look at. What a great job. Now I must tell you that my husband doesn't like to part with things and he lives by "just in case". The collection of old cables, chargers and adaptors is too similar to draws i have here at home! Lovely living room I love the white wash oak. Problems solving success is so rewarding. Looks like the husband catch-all boxes, trays and drawers are literally universal. Great vlog. Love when Paul and Louis pop in as well. I think could use those hollow box books. Very smart and pretty.

LOL, you cracked me up with I have a husband. Mine hates change as well, and I must change things all the time. Especially when it's spring cleaning time. If I have to move it to clean, it just might get moved as well. I am always trying to make my home more functional and start projects that, at the beginning, I also wish that I hadn't started it. But I love it in the end and my house feels so much better to me. Love the new furniture, and wow, the mirrored side bar looks like it was made for that spot.

Love, love, love your new tables. Love the mirrored table in the window area and can visualize your Christmas decor on it. I also have a faux tree. (almost 8' tall) I used newspaper or shipping paper to pack between the tiny pot it came in and the new, much larger, pot I purchased separately. Then I put faux ivy (that trailed over the edge of the pot), twigs and moss around the base to create a natural look. I've had it for years and still love it. Love the fairy lights on your tree. Don't forget to put something under those beautiful coasters cause the condensation will go straight through to the table. I love the "sun decor" over the side table. It complements the wallpaper. Amazon has things that cover electrical cords, but Louie's bed works too. Don't forget you can also hang the tv on the wall if you get an electrician to put an outlet higher on the wall so it's behind the tv. That way you can free up some tabletop space. I don't think you mentioned where you got your tables from?? Love all your videos. You don't know it but you're like a friend that I love to talk to like girlfriends do. Such a lovely person.

Hi Nisha, my husband and I have been going through every drawer and cabinet to get rid or junk and donate to charity this past week. We are getting at the age where it’s time to think about what the children will have to go through if something happened. My hubby is the biggest hoarder of the same kind of things as Paul! I question but why, then I went to my makeup and said, ok I get it to each their own. I also collect linen tables clothes etc to a fault. Your living room turned out beautiful with an atheistic of the modern you love and some nature. It’s perfect and has a very homey feel to it!

And I've been inspired to clear out stuff too. 👍👍 after having to spend weeks clearing out my parents home once mum passed, giving things away, taking stuff to the dump....I don't want to leave my kids that job!!

I have gone from the family home of over 30 years 4 bed detached to a 3 bed detached in S Wales, then back here to 3 bed end of terrace, BUT apart from one bed still had the same furniture! My husband is like yours just happy with the way it is. 😂 I cleared out a living room unit recently that I hope to replace with something more modern. My problem is that I have so much stuff and I am a hoarder also. It’s a bit overwhelming trying to get rid of stuff and find furniture to fit in. I find that some of the modern furniture is flimsy enough and doesn’t have the quality of the older pieces.

Love your makeover Nisha. It's funny how our taste evolves as we get older isn't it? I absolutely adore your new tables they look so nice with your new furniture in the living room and the mix of modern and traditional are beautiful together. I have Olive branches in a vase in my dining room. It sits on my sideboard with a similar vase as the one you have. I have some antique olive oil bottles that sit on the sideboard with it and it's quite lovely. When you were shopping to get your pot I was hoping you would go straight to the one you picked. I was going pick that one pick that one LOL.

I love your choices for your room. If I could make one little suggestion. I think with your new warm woods and sofa colours, the colour of your kitchen cabinets and dining room reflect warm tones. I think if you painted all your walls on the first floor in a warm neutral and took the grey tones out which reflect cool you would love it and it would give a continuous flow through the house. I did it to my home and it looks fabulous. Clean, continuous and so much larger. Talk to your paint store, bring your pictures in and they will suggest some colours. I bought a few paint samples and tried them on a board to see the light in the house which helped a lot. You can always add some colour if you need it in throws and cushions. Think of your walls as the canvas of your face. You start with foundation and build on it and add colour if needed. You are fabulous at that😃Paul will adjust he is like my husband once I put it together he loves it.

Your new cabinet is just gorgeous. Nice change. I have to laugh because I liked the other vase. But now that you have the olive plant and lights ,it is just perfect and I was sooooo wrong.😁 That was very nice to keep a space for Louie's things. My dog passed. I remember that I always had to move her toy box , just a tad, to put the X-mas Tree up. It wasn't far, but it did upset her! You made a nice little change. I put my olive tree is a concrete pot and wrapped a beach towel around it and stuffed it down until the tree was really stable. Then I used brown packing paper that came from Amazon orders and wrapped it around to almost the top. Then put the moss on top. It was all things I already had and so easy! Looks great too. Love your mini makeover 😊

I think you’ve done a smashing job, Nisha! ❤ The mango wood furniture gives a real grounded feel to the room which I love, and your word, cosy, is really the same feel. If you cared to, installing a piece of original art on the wall above where you sit would augment your tasteful decor in a personal way. Anyway, you’ve done it again! I can so relate. My husband is the same way. I asked him to throw away all this old bills that he doesn't need anymore, like from ten years ago. Finally he said he did get rid of a few. I see no difference. I have found that sometimes if I take stuff to the goodwill, it's things we no longer use. Old telephone cords, USB for who knows what phone and get rid of them. I may keep one or two but I get where you are at. The cameras gave me a good laugh.

Yes Nisha prefer the wood units than the glass. I think also changing the mirror to a wooden vintage/rustic would be better. Also the curtains to more plainer linen ones. When you do the dining area can do in a French farmhouse vibe to match lounge. Good job

I love the mixture in the living room!!! And I love the piece over the side board - it's brings out the pattern in the wall paper. The cords - they make a plastic cable channel that will cover the cords. The cords would go basically in a sleeve and then that lays against the baseboard --then it just blends in with the wall trim.

Oh, Nisha, you do make me laugh! I have exactly the same problem with my husband. My friend gave me a beautiful painting that would look perfect in our living room but the only place that would work is where we currently have a clock. Well, Jack (my husband) would have no part of me swapping the clock for the painting. He says he needs the clock when he’s cooking (even though there is a timer on the stove, not to mention the watch on his wrist! MEN!😂 6:31
