I’ve had my (red) Laifen for two years- best hairdryer I’ve ever owned, hands down. The lightest, the quietest, the most airflow. I have thick hair which takes forever to dry, so this is why I gave Laifen a try. Less than five minutes drying time, compared to over ten minutes with all others I’ve owned. Stylist Justin Hickcox here on YT recommended it. I can’t recommend it highly enough. I think it cost abt $200 Canadian. So impressed by the quality, I bought their electric toothbrush, which I also love.

Nisha, this was a very helpful review. I ordered the Laifen hair dryer. I needed a new hair dryer. My hair kept getting sucked in mine and tangled in my cheap hair dryer. I too have fine hair like yours. I have a gently, stacked, blond bob. I needed a better hair dryer. Thanks for this review.😊

Wow, tks Nisha. I wasn't in the market for a new hairdryer, I mostly air dry, then style with a curling iron, or rollers, or just wear it naturally wavy/scrunched. That said, every now & then, I like to dry the roots a certain direction or use a diffuser. My favorite T3, negative ion, hairdryer just recently gave out on me...didn't last as long as my other less expensive blow dryers so I was disappointed, since I liked it a lot otherwise, but hesitated buying another. I currently have an old "Salano" blow dryer, but it's very big, bulky, heavy, and the diffuser attachment broke, which is what I like to use mostly. All that said, and with these deals going, I may upgrade to this Laifen! I have a Dyson vacuum that was worth the splurge, but I just could never see spending as much as they charge on their hair tools. This Laifen, I'm amazed, I think I actually like it better, for several features you mention in your demo. Tks for sharing!

Hi Nisha. Great review. I agree with others that you got a smoother dry than with the Dyson. Personally I have tried the Dyson as my sister has one, but was not impressed because of the cost. I do have a cosmetology license so I have had “good” professional hair dryers. I personally have a Shark that I purchased a few months ago and am loving that. I would probably try the Leifen in the future when the need arises. 😊

It's so cute in pink. My hairdresser has the Dyson so I bring my own dryer to diffuse my waves and curls. I wonder if this Laifen is too strong for delicate curls... I'd like to try it but hesitate due to possibly needing to return it if it is too forceful.

I owned the Laifen for 2 years and the heating element went out. I chose to purchase the Dyson as a replacement, since I only got two years out of the Laifen. I will say, the Dyson is heavier, but I also get a better blowout with the Dyson. I will see how long the Dyson lasts for me. I wash and dry my hair every two days.

Hummm. I'm in America, as you know and am not familiar with Laifen...but Dyson...now they have a history of excellence. Haven't watched the video yet...but I'm saying Dyson. LOL UPDATE: Well, Nisha...after watching...I'd have to pick Laifen. LOL With just a tiny difference between the two, there are two things that really sold me. 1. Price - WOW what a difference. And who doesn't need to save money these days? 2. I liked the way it left your hair more relaxed after drying. Not as bushy. For no more difference than they have from each other...I'd have to buy the Laifen for the price. As long as it's as good as Dyson, that sold me. Love ya.

You originally showed both dryers with the styler concentrater on. But when you timed both you had the concentrator on the Dyson but not the Laifen. Not truly apples to apples on the blow dry timing.

I've had a Dyson for about 5 years and swore by it, but I've recently bought the Laifen Mini and it's better in my opinion. It's lighter, smaller, and quieter. Instead of pressing a button several times to get the speed, it's just push the on button - up for low and up twice for high. The heat options are cool, warm and hot, but there is a 4th setting for automatically cycling between these, so it can dry and cool to set in one go. I'm really pleased with mine. The final bonus for me (as a Cat mum) is that my cats run a mile from the Dyson but are unfazed by the Laifen. Not a top priority I know, but it's less scary for my little furry buddies. The real final point for me is how soft my hair is now. The Dyson sometimes would leave it a bit roughed up, but the Laifen leaves it really smooth.

To be honest, Dyson doesn't cost $400, it's a well-promoted brand, thanks for the comparison, I don't have either, I have the most ordinary hair dryer, I don't even remember when I bought it. Great review Nisha. Dyson is a total rip-off in my experience. I’ve always used Dyson vacuums and when we moved to France I treated our house to a very expensive (over €600) Animal hair Dyson. It’s a joke! Worst vacuum I’ve ever used. It literally clogs up EVERY time I use it and you have to prod in long screwdrivers and chopsticks etc to free up the channels. It does that even with NO dog hair (our dog sadly died). I agree with other people’s comments - just paying for the name with Dyson products in my opinion. Thanks for this.
