This waiting is as exciting as the Living story can get. They gave us tons of material to craft theories from and a short countdown to the real answers. The tin foil hatting and discussion amongst the community is wildly entertaining, and WP, your 2 videos this week and the guru watch thing are the backbone for all the hype I feel this week. It almost could be anything, like just to toss out an original theory, a technologically advanced Cantha is declaring all out war on the world...

Something I found interesting that ties in with the thing about the Watchknights being from somewhere else is that one of the items that requires the Watchwork Sprockets is a teleportation device.

I had an interesting thought about the Crown Pavilion. The enemies in there are supposed to be the enemies of humanity, and they all make sense except for the destroyers. Sure, you can go back to the events of GW1 and tie them in there, but even so, the Branded are much more significant foes of the humans. I believe that they were put in this update to flood the economy with lodestones so that prices will drop, making crafting more affordable for when the new tier is released later this year.

If you looked up during the intense screen shaking you would have seen an Aetherblade airship flying down into the hole that is the pavilion. Also, if the steam creatures are from the future, perhaps the clockwork knights are the precursor to that technology.

If you looki up at the right time, you can also see how this airship could enter Divinity's Reach. The airship arrived there with a small portal, and the effects with the airship coming out of the portal reminds me of the steamcreature portals when you destroy them.

Theory - Molten alliance and aetherblade ally - a wall down there gets blown up. it leads deeper into the earth - a whole new map, populated with aetherblades and molten alliance troops. at it's furthest end it leads into the depths of Tyria. We get to see the dwarves again, entrapped in an eternal battle and finally - Primordus waits for us.

I was running around with one of my characters in Molengrad in Snowden Drifts today and found a piece of paper that must have been from the early molten facility storyline from a female dredge warning the others not to start treating females the way the flame legion does. Made me want to run all over divinity's reach to look for similar stuff!

build on fog and sand divinity's reach is build on an overhanging cliff over water. Rock is a form of sand water and air can create a fog so divinity's reach is build on sand over a fog

I think the point that the aetherblades are in every event is that they have contacts in general politics, in Lion's Arch particularly and now in the human court. Hence the power of Sarlet.

Maybe this is queen's Jennah's first step to absolute tyranny of Kryta. She'll start by slowly getting rid of the ministry guard and replacing them with either the watchknight's or the seraph honour guards. Highly unlikely, but it should make for an interesting story. Also queen's speech, she could be revealing something about the ministry guards...

You can jump into the whole btw... if you climb the eagle statue and jump off of it, you'll fall into the lobby where the gauntlet happens (and you die, because it is quite the fall)

I wonder about a possible connection between the Aetherblades and the Consortium/Karka. A rogue Sylvari was involved in that story and now we're looking at another rogue Sylvari involved in the Aetherblade stuff. I'm beginning to develop a bit of a theory that there's some rogue faction of Sylvari out there responsible for a lot of this stuff. Potential connection to the dragon minion theory?

Oh they could. They did stuff like this all the time in GW1. It's quite "simple" really. While you progress through the personal story, you would still see the queen in your personal instances. After, you wouldn't. To bridge the story between the end of Zaithan and the current year: one could add a NPC within the Queen's quarters who tells you the history of the Queen's death - or even as other's have been suggesting: epilogues could be added to the living story as it progresses. Just sayin' :)

I have my own theory about comming update. As You said WP, Watchkight, can change their form into they want. So... If Queens guards know that aetherblade want attack, on Queens speech propably we will se Watchknight in Queen form. Queen is safe, and then we can make our own revange. As we know somebody found in datafile something about "Scarlet conquer" (or something like that). :)

They come from a ship that teleports in through a portal that... looks quite familiar if you know the Steam Creatures. You can see it if you look up when it starts shaking.

The humans discovered a way to open a stable portal to the alternate realm, here they were able to replicate the steam technology, however with the portal open steam monsters and the atherblades were able to come through

This all sounds very interesting and I would love to see what's to come. So far nothing really shakes the theory you spoke of in your previous video (about the steam creatures and stuff). But I can't help to wonder, what would have happened if Evon Gnashblade won those elections. Ellen Keel wouldn't have been in the spotlight but I'm confident that the Aetherblades would have shown anyway. What I'm trying to ask is, is all this speculation "soundproof" when considering the elections?

Have you noticed that if you walk up one of the bird's spires that are supporting it in the Crown Pavilion you can stand on the bird's head and jump down into the crown pavilion? (The spire to the far right)

If you look below the new Queen's Speech page,it clearly shows that "Scarlet was here" So it proves that the next update does involve Scarlet, so expect her to be there. You missed mentioning that or u missed it completely.

Maybe Evon Gnashblade and Ellen Kiel were conspirators of the aetherblades. But not leaders. Maybe "Scarlet" offered the council seat to Evon and then Evon would be able to do the fractal which could change people's perspective on Abbadon. And Kiel is just greedy and wants the council's seat. Either way the aetherblade would have achieved their goal which could be; to infiltrate the Captain's council in Lion's arch.

Not necessarily, the Living Story takes place after the Personal Story. It would only not make sense to people who haven't finished their human personal story. Even then they should know that this takes place afterward.

That was my initial thought, too. But that would make the story take place in the past, because the queen would still be alive, right? And it's supposed to take place in the present, which means, you experience something the way it's taking place right now, with all the people still alive. :l It seems like it was easier in GW1.. things like changing the story & certain areas, because everyone had his own instances, adapted to his/her own story ( not only missions/quests but also regular maps ).

They can't kill the queen because it would mess up Logan's story for the first group of dungeons as well at the human personal story when choosing an order. They would have to change those stories to fit an already dead queen. If they did kill her, though, that would mean they're not worrying about that stuff, which could very well lead to clearing the undead out of Orr and restoring it to an actual human city again.

I'm betting Uzolan is responsible for the Watchknights. I don't think it's a coincidence that the pavilion is surrounded by his mechanical instruments as well as the Watchknights. Caudecus is Uzolan's patron which puts Uzolan and the Watchknights under his control.

I just have these moments where I'm like "I really don't give a fuck... just finish this bloody story and move onto something cooler. Give us what we wanted from the start" If the next year's living story has got nothing to do with the Guild Wars Lore or dragons I'll be so annoyed, we've been waiting for ages, and all we've gotten is new stuff which noone's ever heard of before. It feels to me like this sort of story should've been released like after they've already released two expansions...

To be honest, I don't really think they could kill the queen, for the same reason they can't really 'cleanse' Orr. She's involved in the personal story, which unfortunately takes place in the present, not in the past, right? Of course, it would be an interesting plot twist, hahah.
