Oh my. Our lives mirror in many ways. We were living and working (hard ) in London. A diagnosis of CLL ( a form of leukaemia ) for my husband resulted in us moving to South Wales 6 years ago. Since we’d ’retired ‘ early we have a greatly reduced pension. So I now work part time as a yoga teacher…sadly his condition means that he suffers greatly with fatigue and feels the cold keenly. So we are reluctantly selling (my dream home) and planning a move to a modern house in east Somerset. So glad to have found your channel so that I can stay in touch with Wales.

Becca, it’s nice to have found you. I’m legally blind. I’m here to acknowledge that there is so much life to be lived, even if it doesn’t look like we imagined it would. I am involved with groups that host people like myself. It’s disappointing to hear people continually state that life is over, or not worth living. We believe that we can adapt and learn to enjoy our new circumstances. I applaud you and Andrew for doing just that. Life doesn’t come with guarantees so we might as well get on with it! Thank you for a lovely video😘😘

Becca if you are wanting to get back to sewing projects Tilly and the Buttons are really good patterns for beginners and the instructions are brilliant really hand holding. I’m sorry that life has been tricky for you both but what an inspiration leaving beautiful Somerset to equally beautiful Wales but still a wrench I am sure. I’m retired having worked for the NHS for 40 plus years in a senior role and when you finish you do lose not only your colleagues which are like your family and there were many of them but also your identity. When I first retired I booked myself onto a Floristry course for 9 months it was great and so creative. 😊

Lovely to hang out with you whilst knitting The Dreaded Second Sleeve. ❤ Very familiar with finding moments of joy and appreciating them because the other person very nearly wasn't there. Love that you do this! Baffled that you enjoy ironing, though. Hehe. 😊

I can relate I'm deep into second sock syndrome 🤣 . I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Oh yes I know I'm a bit odd liking ironing 🐏🧶🌀

@@bybeccalewis ohh yes, I feel the second sock syndrome even more than the second sleeve. 🤣 Hehe yes! Then again, I love cooking with complicated recipes for fun, which is not common either. 😁

Hi Becca. One of your videos popped up in my feed by coincidence and I really enjoy your story. Have you considered joining a Virtual Women's Institute? They've been going for 3 years, and grew out of Covid. I live in France which meant I couldn't stay as a member, but the Virtual part of the WI has completely changed that. I am disabled and have been a Virtual WI member for a year and I love it. So far, I have given a series of Spanish lessons to our membership and done 2 tee shirt yarn craft sessions and I do so much more, all of which has really infused some new interest in my life. When you called your viewers your "virtual" craft group, I thought I would suggest joining as my branch have a virtual craft meeting every month, and so much more - book club....cooking group...and so much more. In case it isn't obvious, you don't have to leave home to be a member. Thanks for sharing x

Ironing would have to be my least favourite form of housework. It takes me _forever._ (Actually, most housework takes me forever because I don't know how to do the 90% solutions that most people do, it's either zero or 100%.) I'm looking forward to seeing how the pattern that is printed on the fabric goes. I've never seen that before.

Hi Becca what kind of things do people use Zazzle for please I already have a small family business and am wondering if we can incorporate this into our business
@bybeccalewisАй бұрын
Zazzle sells thousands of products worldwide. I sell mostly event stationery and small business stationery because that's what I like designing. Some people sell mostly photo gifs. Basically anything you can customize for a customer Zazzle sells. It's a case of finding your secret sauce. I hope that helps.
