In Europa you have no space by law for such a "ofroad" airplay, Easley it is not allowed to start and land everywhere at the lake or sea. Microsoft's new flight sim is absolutely amazing. I just flew the Icon A5 out of Seattle WA. 96 miles south to Mt. St. Helens! The volcano looked incredible as i was coming in from 11,000 ft . Also, there are a couple huge lakes near the mountain, and so I landed the Icon on the one which is on the north side. After the landing I was just floating while enjoying a JAW DROPPING view of Mt. St. Helens from that lake!! I was blown away by that experience. I can't believe how great everything looked and that It was even possible to do that!!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend that flight.

Nope @ all of you guys. On the Hudson River there’s something called the “Hudson River corridor exclusion” which is basically airspace over the Hudson. Aircraft are cleared to be at that altitude (below 1,300ft I believe). For the Statue of Liberty, you’re allowed to do orbite and descend down to 500ft. What you can also do if you ask is the Central Park transition to the east river. It’s pretty self explanatory but it means that you can cross over Central Park to go down the east river. Hope that helped.

I know a lot of people are complaining the $400k USD price tag is a lot. But actually this costs much less than a decent 2 person helicopter and likely uses less fuel too. The only trade off is you would need an air strip or body of water to land. So if someone has a lake house and needs to travel back and forth to their home in the city or they just want a toy to go island hopping in the Caribbean...$400k doesnt seem so bad. The other main downside is the max speed of 110mph and 20gal fuel, 430mile range. But maybe its possible to add a second 20gal tank?

My main worry isn’t even the price of plane. But the costs that would inevitably follow afterwards. I.e insurance. Taxes. Maintenance. Etc.

Plus you don’t actually own the plane. You pay but you can’t sell it. You just give it back. Plus they put cameras and microphones in the cockpit to monitor you to make sure you’re not doing anything bad.

OMG...got to get one of these! Keep in mind fellas...these don’t drop in value like automobiles. They retain much of their value on resale. Heck I remember buying a Mooney in early 2000’s that was built in ‘64 for 4 times the original price. Just flew the A5 in Microsoft’s new flight sim with the Garmin. Just an amazing experience.
