First time commenting here but been a sub for awhile. I'm a solo female vanlifer, currently camping in the legendary Badlands of South Dakota. I know exactly how you feel. Not only have I lost many a beloved furbaby, but my identity for the past 31 years has been as someone suffering with severe, debilitating chronic back pain. I'm like an OG expert in both areas, unfortunately. One thing I noticed whenever I've lost a kitty is that the other kitty seems to become more affectionate and lovey dovey. There are millions of people with chronic pain...... there are thousands of "heart in the right place" solutions, while everyone means well if there truly was a solution we wouldn't still have millions of people in pain. Even surgery may not work, but only you can make that decision based on the information you are given. I hope that whatever you decide it will bring you some comfort and relief.

Now that's a niceeee powerstation, damn that's giving me some prepper envy. Absolute units like that could probably be the entire 'leisure' electrical system for some builds. It looked like maybe around half or less of the drawer's height was the problem? Could a future pain free Mattew (or a McDonalds paid Amber) perhaps just cut down the existing drawer and move the rails up to still have storage in that area? Has the bonus of limiting the sweets Brooklyn has sneaky access to whilst you relocate the rest of the goods to a new hidden hoard. I guess in my head I just make you some kind of candy loving dragon instead of gold. These are the kind of comments I write at 3am.

Well, I wasn't going to give you bad news in the last couple of videos due to your circumstances, however this seems like a reasonable time to share, that sugar is not helpful when you have body pain. I live with a lot of body pain ie arthritis and fibromyalgia and I love sugar, but what a difference when I overdo the sugar...so much pain. My oldest son feels the same. We both crave it of course. I have also found that sugar eaten later in the day can cause leg cramps at night. I googled that and found that to be true. Why are there so many temptations that are not good for us?? I hope you find relief very soon Matthew.

Y'know I'm a typical you tube channel watcher with a short attention span and so there are some videos I either won't watch or will put off watching until later if they're over a certain time span. However your channel is one of the very few that I genuinely look forward to and don't care how long your vids are. In fact if I see that your vlog is less than 30mins I'm actually disappointed ! I hope you are able to get back to a point where your pain becomes more manageable and your videos return to your normal production as you can clearly see the progress you have made in the last year or more. The production values are awesome and your music choice as well. I look forward to the time when you can re introduce the storyline you had where you were talking to yourself from the future/past. If your talking 12 Volts(12.8 actually, with lithium iron phosphate), he's got about 120 AmpHrs, so your 299Ah is more than double his total Watt Hours, which is what items actually consume... I mean, as I mentioned in my comment way up there^^^, My Scooter is only 30 Ah, but, at 52 Volts, gives me 1560 Whr... I wish all those companies would state Watt Hours, since that's the only meaningful way to compare this stuff. Fine to share volts and amps, as they have their own meaningful info as to how they work, etc... but in the end, a battery is drained as its watts are consumed.

Penny is sooo cute! And I think she knows it lol. I’m a registered nurse who worked on an orthopedic unit for 20 years and yep at this stage surgery is the answer. a pinched nerve, be it in the back, or any other area of the body, otherwise known as nerve damage, can ONLY be relieved/cured, by getting rid of the pinch, and/or excising the nerve itself. Knowing there will be a lot of walking, I'm going to take my foldable cane. In the meantime, I going to try Advil dual action back pain caplets that delivers 250 mg Ibuprofen and 500 mg Acetaminophen for 8 hours of back pain relief. Praying that you will get much needed relief and soon!

Oh, I forgot we were expecting a 'Part 2' feature... Will this be a "cheesy sequel"?.. lol.. here we go!🙃 First thoughts on the new VTOMEN... 1,548Wh... I too live with mostly self generated electricity, but more than 1548Wh (my new 'kick scooter', Apollo Pro, has a 1,560Wh battery)... trying to imagine living off my scooter batt... can't quite see it. lol. Then again, we all have diff power needs, part of mine which includes powering a 52 Volt, 30 AmpHr(1560Wh) Scooter, which saves me much $moola$ on fossil fuelled transport... and powering 90%+ of my cooking, and most of my heating at moderate temps.(currently, I have 10,240 Whrs, thinking of adding one, or two more batteries, to bring it up to 15,360 or 20,480 Whrs... just because I want to have at least a week of standby/backup power in case of no sun or some failed component of my energy harvesting/charging systems. Not full power use, but if I foresaw the need to conserve, then I want at least a week's worth of power. I mean, I may get snowed in at a back country living space, etc, and as we know in Canada, especially in winter.. POWER IS LIFE!💫. lol). That said, I also have a "Cubic Mini, Grizzly" as a backup for cooking and heating, not to mention 80 litres/20 gallons of diesel should I need to resort to fueled heating/power generation. I kinda figured the top area was gonna be wireless charger space, since that's what a lot of those devices are including up there now, but the compartment is probably better use of the space, and sure your mains cord will fit there, once you redo its wrap style. Second guessing that top compartment, now that I see without it, it would be barely taller than your 1000... When one is trying to "live smaller", as you know, every cubic inch matters, as you are faced with now, losing storage space, for lack of another inch, or in this case, "An Inch Too Far"...Hmmm🤔. ***Note to all companies designing and engeneering products for smaller/lighter live'rs... engineering for function over form, or in this case, form for best function, is CRITICAL. Just ask Matthew(sounds like an advice column, lol), how an extra inch is a hassle, and for some applications, that inch may make your product unusable for unknown numbers of potential users.*** Fast Charging... just remember, fast charging is harder on the batteries inside, shortens the life of the batteries... so only use it when you're in need of a fast top-up. I usually charge my MacBook Air M2, which is capable of 69 watt charging, with my iPad charger, 20 watts... it will charge with as little as 14 watts, but that gets pretty slow. lol. Point being, it probably has a setting or switch to set fast charge on or off, use it as appropriate. (Yes, that was SOS... too bad more folks don't learn Morse code... even a simple flashlight can be a lifesaver when no other form of distance communication is possible... ie: Good for more than just SOS, you can communicate not only that you need help, but what kind.. like, "need water"..." injury, need medivac"... "trapped by water"... "fire approaching", etc, etc. AND... its not only useful with a powered light... you can use Morse code by hammering a rock, with another rock, or reflections(think signal mirror, or a shiny piece of metal), pounding on your car or truck hood, etc, etc.). I see a few comments re: Penny'e new 'tude... hard to know with pets, what's really going on in their minds, but something always is.. lol. She may be liking the non-competitive nature of life these days... or worrying that she may too, disappear... we never know... just heap on the lovin's, and all will be good👍🏼. And, finally... re: your back issue... yes, you felt a need for more relief at the end of your vid, but I think we all noticed that its not quite as crippling as it was recently... and, (Spoiler Alert), on Patreon, we see you are actually getting at least a small reprieve from your latest round of sciatica. Here's hopin' and wishin', and a bit of prayin'... that it continues to improve, or at the very least, lasts a while for ya... (remember, dive into that barrel before it gets too crowded/deep🤿).
