A powerful lesson here is if you don't believe you have anything to give, just show up. You are giving more than you know. Amazing.

I am watching from South Africa, and your talk gave me goosebumps and made me cry for a little moment. Africa is wonderful; you have all gained knowledge and traveled the rest of the world. I agree that it is time to go home and start nourishing one's own roots for future generations. Your presence alone contributes significantly to motivational development through self-efficacy. Thank you for an excellent seminar.

My dear, you are giving a great speech which is nice. The other thing you should also be telling these people is, to tell their governments to leave Africa alone, and for their governments to stop using Africa as a warehouse to extract raw materials alone. Zimbabwe is a rich country, but the question is why should a little country like Zimbabwe under inhumane economic sanctions from the USA and Europe. It makes no sense, and that's the real issue that's destroying Zimbabwe.

I was thinking the same thing! It makes me sad and angry when "helper syndrome" people come with "nice" charity projects for the "poor" instead of addressing the single cause that makes Africa poor: colonialism, neo-colonialism, and exploitation of resources by Europe and the US. Colonialists need to give back the land and African nations need to nationalize the resources. Many great Africans have set examples but died because they could not unite Africa fast enough -- from Nkruma to Ghaddafi. And now Ibrahim Traore, of Burkina Faso, Tchiani of Niger, Faye of Senegal and (not yet president) Malema of South Africa are showing the way how It CAN be done.
