@juanblanco78982 жыл бұрын
@@nekrataali it is, indeed. And I feel you on reddit culture, but the TikTok is literally cultural cancer while the former is quite benign in comparison, imo. While Reddit by design exploits human psychology in order to mold, manipulate or straight up manufacture meta-narratives, TikTok basically destroys (heavily modifies/transforms in a way that can't possibly be considered not harmful from virtually any point of view) intellectual faculties of it's ardent users. I bet that people who introduced and begin to explore such concepts as "clip thinking" back in the days couldn't even imagine the sheer scope and boldness of what's happening now after introduction of this particular platform and it's rise in popularity.

I'm really antisocial so I'm almost completely unaware of what's trending. and my music is mostly 90s hiphop and technical rappers so I'm basically a full generation older mentally, but my brother couldn't be more up with the times. he's just constantly throwin out buzzword after buzzword and always wears this one skinny chain, and tries to dress sorta emoish with a hoody all the time (mind you we live in Texas, I like wearing hoodies too but there's really only like 2 or 3 months we can). sometimes he'll just say slang ive never heard of before just cuz he hears it on tiktok or sumn. I just dont get why the current gen's style is so popular
