Vet wrap is amazing for covering dew claws when going out for walks and play. Just changed my whippet onto pooch and mutt turkey and duck wet food. She is doing brilliantly well and has had tummy trouble for a long time after a bout of acute pancreatitis. Love your videos and I covet your beautiful little Jess. Was she rehomed from JR whippet rescue?

Jess is such a beautiful girl, well loved. I have a rescue greyhound who also doesn't really play with toys but has zoomies which i love to see, it took about 4 months for us to hear her play. She is petrified to go walking but hopefully a behaviourist can help, we already had one to no avail. What I do know is my girl is very happy, she is loving & loves the attention our family give her. Beautiful dogs & a wonderful gentle nature, she absolutely rules our home 😊❤

Dog people are my kind of people. My little girl also sleeps in my bed and lives next to me on the sofa. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

They’re so funny aren’t they! I love it 😊 does she do it when she’s trying to tell you something important?
@bekih62862 жыл бұрын
@@Worriedwhippet yes usually when food is being consumed by humans and she wants some or when she wants you to open a door and just slightly stand in it but not go through it?

Love these videos, thank you so much for doing them. ❤️ i feel the same way about my girl, who was guessed to be a whippet mix. How did you achieve those perfect beachy waves in your beautiful hair?
@Worriedwhippet2 жыл бұрын
Aw your girl sounds lovely, we’re not quite ready for another dog yet but we’d love a whippet mix. Also 🥹 I used a mark hill curling wand! Will carry this very flattering comment to my grave 😂 thank you!

Our rescue whippet is the sweetest boy there is - especially compared to our pug who is just a little devil haha. At first he was whining quite a lot especially during the night/morning until we found out that he was actually cold - we hadn't even considered that given that our other dog is a fur monster and is always hot. But now that we know we put a little sweatshirt on him around the house and make sure he's tucked in :)

Ahh bless him, they get so chilly! I bet he’s happy as Larry now he’s got a sweatshirt and a blanket 😊

A dog having a "sensitive stomach" may be another way of describing an IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease). Because people who suffer from IBD's do have different levels of discomfort, which is often made worse when food is passing through their gut, it's safe to assume that a dog suffering from an IBD is also experiencing discomfort as well, which is made worse after eating. This can cause a dog to under eat. You mentioned your dog's sensitive stomach, the poop scenario that happened in January, her reluctance to eat even with you encouraging her (which meant that she might be under eating). 70% of a dog's immune system is gut health. So, each of these by themselves is worrying but altogether or one right after the other is a red flag. It's important to know that because there are many causes of IBD's and so there are also a number of different treatments from the most simple and non-invasive as a diet change (adding probiotics to their diet and removing foods that cause their gut to become inflammed) to the most extreme (surgery).
