Sarah Dalton was born with CHARGE syndrome, a rare condition resulting in 32 surgeries, three resuscitations, and countless scares for Sarah’s family in her 22 years of life so far. However, the physical challenges of living with CHARGE syndrome have paled in comparison to the bullying Sarah has experienced. Despite this, she is determined not to be defined by her differences. Sarah is now an avid equestrian, and a Special Olympics Global Messenger, class of 2019.

Yes she was a teacher and we can all learn a valuable lesson from her life. It’s terrible when people are bullied. We know right from wrong because we are made in God’s image and are moral beings. We know God exists because something can’t come from nothing, that’s a scientific impossibility. Have you ever of God’s law, the Ten Commandments? The ninth Commandment is DO NOT LIE. How many lies have you told in your life? The eight commandment is DO NOT STEAL. Have you ever stolen anything regardless of value? The third Commandment is DO NOT TAKE THE LORD’S NAME IN VAIN. Have you ever used God’s name to express disgust or anger? (OMG, Jesus) That’s called blasphemy when you take the name of God who loves you and gave you life and use it as a curse word. The seventh Commandment is DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY. Have you ever looked with lust or had sex before marriage? The punishment for sin is death and Hell. Jesus died on the cross to pay the fine for your sins. The only way to Heaven is repent(turning away from sin because you see how serious sin is and you turn to God.) and put your trust in Jesus. “Turn to God in repentance and have faith in the Lord Jesus.” Acts 20:21 The moment you do that you will have enteral life in Heaven.

I have unfortunately seen comments on KZbin before where people will bully others with disabilities. They are just shallow sad people. As for Sarah. My dear. You just stay the lovely, caring, and charming person you are. Remember that for every person that is mean or horrible towards you, there a thousand people whose lives you touch. Those who bully you are people who are incapable of seeing the light you carry in you. Shine girl! Shine!💕💕💕🌷

My daughter was diagnosed with C.H.A.R.G.E. syndrome in 1977 shortly after she was born and Is one of, if not the oldest living person with CHARGE in the USA. CHARGE is very different from person to person, however there are certain aspects of the syndrome that are the same. My daughter is now 41 soon to be 42 OCT 14th, she has been married, has an associate degree, has a full time job (when her health permits) drives, and has had one child (her daughter died June 14, 2018-down syndrome ). She has lead a very independent life considering all of the surgeries and other complications associated with CHARGE. I write this to give hope to all the mothers and fathers that have children diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome. Hang in there, there is hope for your child, they can have a fulfilling life as long as you parents don't give up on them. Sarah Thank you for sharing your story with the world and I wish all the best to you and your mum and dad.

Hey Sarah! Thank you for sharing your story ❤ I'm sorry you've been bullied, people can be cruel sometimes and it makes no sense. You are so brave and strong and I admire how much you've achieved. Thank you for spreading your happiness. I love horses too but I've never been horse riding, it looks like so much fun. Love from Ireland 💚🧡💜❤💙

This young woman is amazing! She could teach people twice her age alot of life's most important lessons. Aside from her physical limitations, which she has learned to handle beautifully, she is quite articulate & has a good head on her shoulders. Her parents have much to be proud of. They've done a remarkable job raising & guiding her through childhood & into womanhood. I wish her a long & happy life, & I hope her parents live to a ripe old age to watch her live it. Many blessings & much love to the whole family from Pennsylvania in the USA. Well done Sarah!! 😘👍

Sarah, you are kind, you are smart, YOU ARE IMPORTANT! Remember that mantra (I am kind, I am smart, I am important) don't let anyone ever tell you anything less. You're such an inspiration, and you have so much potential and have overcome so many obstacles in life where others who are more able bodied would of already given up. Not you, you strive forward with your life and independence, and that beacon of light shines so bright from within you. I am truly sorry that you had to experience bullying, and there is simply no excuse for it, all I can say is - you did not deserve it, and that there are unfortunately some horrible people in this world, who are so unhappy and sad with their own lives Sarah they feel the need to put others down so they can feel better at your expense. It's truly sad, and I wish you so much more happiness in this world. You have such a kind, and caring family who clearly love you very dearly, and are so proud of you. I'm proud of you, and I am a total stranger, this entire community on Attitude is proud of you. Remember there are people in this world, who sadly won't ever have the opportunity to meet you - but care so much about you, never forget that either - there are people out there who care about you, despite them being strangers and never having met you there are good people out there. Much love from England, Zach.

In the event Sarah by any chance is reading this, I want to give her something uplifting to the soul. I was bullied badly as a kid too. BUT as an adult I’ve had several of my biggest bullies apologize to me for bullying me. At some point we all have to face any harm we have caused in life. And they did. One of the worst of mine was in a really bad car accident after school and she had months where all she could do was think about who she was and who she wanted to be. It took 20 years but she apologized for hurting me. I’m so proud of you, Sarah. You are kicking butt.
