Im lovin' my 2024 Hyundai Elantra N with the DCT in Cyber Grey . Got mine in June. I will say, i do think the DCT is more fun. I have driven both and have other manual cars. The speed of the DCT shifts and the sound of the exhaust as it shifts just sounds better. Then, there is the fact that the DCT is significantly faster. The DCT gets better gas mileage too, plus the over boost button is cool. Either way, these cars are a blast. It's my fun commuter car and its perfect for it.

Buyers BEWARE, We have a 2021 Veloster N. We love it, we've had no mechanical issues. However we have defective Paint, It is well in its legal rights to be repaired but Hyundai refuses to fix it. Even though it's still covered under its 3 year paint warranty AND it hasn't been voided because the cars been under 36,000 miles. We've been fighting them for over a year, and if they won't help you with paint (keep in mind ONLY the hood) GOOD LUCK having them warranty their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Cause your car will be sitting there dead for like 2+ years considering we've fought them for a year on paint. It's such a cool car and it's a shame, If you purchase one don't plan on its warranty. Still, to its credit. We love the car.

Great review! I’ve owned my ‘22 EN DCT for over 2 years and 32k miles now and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. If you are a manual lover, definitely get the manual. But if you need an auto (I needed one so my wife can drive my car when I need her SUV) then the DCT will blow your mind how good it is. Like the auto rev match in the manual, it just makes the best blip crackles and pops when downshifting. And of course the NGS button is an absolute riot how fast and firm the shifts get. The 10hp isn’t really that noticeable, but the shift aggressiveness definitely is. This car defines the segment of fun affordable cars. Cheers!

The car is great and the fact that a tune, sparkplugs, and 93+ octane gas can get you to 300-320 whp is nuts. A pop and bang tune can make it so obnoxiously loud that you turn the active exhaust off altogether.

I have a 23 and it's funny how cameras do not capture how loud the pops are. In videos, they sound like light crackles, but they sound more like gunshots irl if you rev it high enough haha.

I don’t think it really competes with the Civic SI, I mean maybe a bit based on price but not performance - more the Type R, WRX, GRC. I have a 23 and it fits such a weird niche. It smokes most cars its price point (GTI, SI), and is only slightly behind the next step up in performance but at a cost that’s easier to swallow on a FWD economy performance car
