Living with the Kogi tribe in the Colombian jungle (EN sub)

Deep in Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains, surrounded by jungle, live the last indigenous Kogi people. We spent three days with one of the Kogi families, learning about their life, traditions, practices, etc.
We walked 50 km in the jungle and witnessed some unbelievable images with the other Kogi families. They don't like to be photographed or filmed, so we respected their intimacy. Our host family allowed us to film them for some scenes in this video.
Some aspects not mentioned in the video:
- the children go school, 6h away from home
- they respect and protect the environment (they don't have plastic at all, except the plates and the cups)
- all the garbage that we took with up was taken back to the village

The best part about watching this is... These people don't know how truly gifted they are. They are free from the burden of working a job or using currency to survive. They may have more manual labor such as going to the river or using fire made from scratch or bathing outside, but at least they don't have to worry about producing physical currency to survive. Many people leave this situation and come to Uk or maybe America on DV lottery to pursue American dream but once they start getting immersed into the city life and American lifestyle they realized that the village life was actually better and a gift from divine.

We even asked them if they wanted to live somewhere else, closer to the village, but they were very happy with their lifestyle and didn't even think of moving from there.

I had family emigrate to the US from a small German village in the Carpathian mountains. Just the manual labor required for crops, even with an ox to help, was backbreaking. No one i knew ever indicated they wanted to return to that life. Washing clothes or bathing in a river, using an outhouse, no a/c or regulated heat as we know it and no powered machinery make every necessary chore labor intensive.and very tiring. Please don't idealize this existence as better or more free. It's only different. And those who know no other way of life will naturally prefer it to the alternatives.

The lady was authentic Kogi, and his husband was only half Kogi (from his mother). They chose to live the Kogi life and wouldn't change it at all.
