Hello Evo India, As a TATA motors enthusiast, i would like to comment on the Tata Harrier. No doubt The Harrier is good capable SUV and does its job pretty well.... But literally Tata should Update the car with the following features!! 1) The infotainment system needs to be updated! It lags so much and the whole system needs to get better 2) Why there are halogen lamps on a 20 Lakh rupee car?? There should be LED's. 3) Electronic Parking Brake should be present like the Safari! 4) 18 inch wheels atleast as an option. 5) 360 degree camera please... It really needs to be there for the size of the car. 6) The steering wheel looks outdated! And needs to be like the Nexon!! Regards. These things should be looked upon Tata Motors...
@shamsudheenvallapuzha34613 жыл бұрын
You said it....these are the areas that Tata should be looked in to ,so as to offer a good competition to it's rivals who are already a step ahead on these..

@AIDANPEREIRA3 жыл бұрын
@@TheMegatron30 rwd is just better. It's cheaper to maintain, it's more reliable, easier to fix on your own rather than going to the mechanic if you wanted to. It's better off-road, it's more fun to drive on road, etc.. it's only bad point it's fwd is slightly cheaper to make and gets slightly better gas mileage

@SuperAkashrana3 жыл бұрын
Tata should look into an AWD version not a hardcore 4x4 with low ratio, as that is a great safety tech in wet weather which isn't something that you will face once in a while. ESP does help, but a proper AWD traction control adds whole another layer of control and improves dynamics of the vehicle.
@evoIndia3 жыл бұрын
The OMEGA architecture can be tweaked for that but there's no business case for AWD.

5years back I was bit sceptical about how Tata would fare in Indian market, because we Indians still have not able to get out the image of indigo Cs , ecs , Indica vista , when we heard Tata . At that time Hyundai and Maruti were killing it . Yesterday I test drove the Tata altoz and it blew my mind away, I had a look in to the harrier and the safari also , and yes the kind of stupendous built quality all the safety features and lovely interiors which will give the Koreans a run for their money.. Tata has got all things spot on . Only thing they need is a big lusty petrol motor which can make vehicles like safari and harrier to appeal to a even broad range of audiences .. and yes the Altroz it’s a complete rounded package 👍

@jeesonx3 жыл бұрын
It's because you haven't driven a harrier in such conditions before. It will move forward than any mass produced fwd Vehicles in india. I always thought the terrain changing system is a gimmick, but it ain't. I followed a group of 4x4 thar's where the trail was only possible with awd or 4x4. But surprisingly harrier made it. That dosent mean I'm doing it everyday. But it could. Same like one dosent spend all day in higher Himalayas, but if the chance is given, I'm sure harrier is the best fwd option in the country.

I was a huge harrier fan,especially of the second edition, even booked one before test driving it, but after the test drive, had to cancel it....reasons 1)my left knee was invaded by the center console, every time I used the clutch (I am 6.2) 2) inferior quality of the switch gear,my test drive vehicle was 9000 kms old ,some of the buttons stopped working (eco and power mode) some were broken (seat recline adjusting know for the driver) and some were discolored (start/stop button) 3) underwhelming AC performance, I did the test drive for 90 min ,had the AC at 18°and the fan at level 5, it was at 11am , after 90 min ,I had a sweaty, sticky, back and the rear AC vents are vestigial!! 4)it is lacking some very handy and useful features a) ventilated seats, for our harsh Indian climate b) heated orvms c) rear disc brakes d) powered tail gate... 5) the infotainment system is too small to operate while you are on a move, if I had to change the bass or treble on the music system or even touch the back logo on the screen, it is really difficult and cannot be done in one attempt, the screen is too small,it becomes worst if u use apple carplay or android auto......having said that ,the ride quality, handling,suspension are top of the line ,courtesy massive tires and omega arc .....and finally the new face-lift of mg hector with its 18 inch wheels and improved body roll management swayed me towards MG .......heartbroken!!
@sudeepdutta36933 жыл бұрын
You have few issues correct.. like the intervention of the central console with the left leg , and yes it may have some down on features from competition but not poorly down......... But still it got the fundamentals of a car properly right the vehicle dynamics ,vehicle comfort ,space and ride and handling r perfect.. if you're getting all this + feature rich , then it would be a German SUV , in this segment still features Vs pure car has the debate going on
