Dr. Kevin Dawson is the author of "Undercurrents of Power: Aquatic Culture of the African Diaspora." His book won the prestigious Harriet Tubman Award from Lapidus Center. In this presentation, he discusses canoeing and surfing in Atlantic Africa and the diaspora.
