It's hard not to be completely in love with the design and construction of this amazing shipping container home. Even more impressive than the home though, is Jaimie and Dave, who pushed through some tremendous challenges to make their dream come true. This is a story about finding joy, even in adversity. We hope you enjoy this weeks video! With love, Bryce & Rasa

Bryce, what is the required up keep on a medal container home? Do they rust away? Would love to know this. Also, it seems like it would be much cheaper to build the same size home with wood vs buying a container. With that said, this is a beautiful property & home.

Well said! Balance with work and free time is important in life. Buying a bigger house than necessary and a car that you acctually can't afford won't make you happy. Especially if it means you have to work day and night for it. Most common cause to divorce is money, for sure.

Y R, Holding hands is magical. I really like your comment. It reminds me of a couple of other stories that are felt thru touching. My youngest daughter read a book and one chapter was on arguing with your husband/wife. She bought a pair of hand cuffs and talked to her husband on what they could try. Argument came up, they got the cuffs and for one hour were chained together. At the hour mark, her husband made her a bubble bath and bathed her... awwww couple goals!

Yes! Only one other channel on KZbin I can think of that does that, but they don't focus specifically on tiny houses. They cover all forms of alternative housing. Bryce, however, is a *much* better host in my opinion, and this channel is put together _way_ better than any other channel of it's type. Just seems like they really care about helping people to share their before stories and not just share the Instagram Airbnb IKEA after results.

This channel alone has convinced me to go tiny in the near future. Such a great source of well designed tiny homes at any budget. First I love love love your home! And then I can tell that you two are good friends and deeply in love. You both remind me so much of my late husband and I. I lost him to brain cancer two and a half years ago. I mean seriously, your relationship and the thing that happened to him is so much like my husbands story. My husband had a lot of seizures. Unfortunately it’s how we always knew that another tumor was growing back. It was such an aggressive form of cancer that gave him only two years after he was diagnosed. So now I’m wanting to live out our dream. We wanted to move to the mountains in north Arkansas (a best kept secret for natural living in a gorgeous area). I want to leave a small footprint and it’s just me so why not go tiny! You both have done such a beautiful job. I can tell that you both have an eye for detail! If I ever get to live out my dream I’ll surely let everyone know!

I love the idea of the bridge and zip line! It is an awesome location. Oh put a small pond under the bridge, and it would be perfect! I believe they have a beautiful home and my biased opinion the best location on earth. I really miss the Pacific Northwest, the forests, the wildlife, the rivers and real hills and mountains! Oh and Especially the Pacific Ocean and the small coastal towns. I am jealous. So not having a mortgage, and lower cost of living, I am sure they can pay off any medical debt they incurred quickly.

One thing that impresses me is that they've been living in the house for three years. In most of the videos, the occupants have spent a short time. I like it that these people have lived there and experienced life there. Also, they are not house bound, but active and outside. That's a real advantage to this type of living. Positive and up beat people, even after much adversity. Good on you.

I think it would be very difficult to live on somebody's land without owning because you never know what might happen. It's like renting and having a landlord. I went through this with my partner. I had a brain injury and some other health complications that often made it hard for me to talk, literally saying words or just trying to say them in the way/order I wanted to. Many conversations we had with other people were things that we had discussed in depth as a couple and so we had little (almost unconscious) queues that indicated when I needed him to do the talking because I couldn't get there on my own. Over the years, as I recovered, that dynamic shifted back to me speaking more for myself as I was able to. Having him as verbal backup really helped deal with the stress of socializing when I was feeling impaired cognitively and physically.

I know being there with your loved one being wanting to help them as much you and being so limited so your world feels crushed. I sure she sees it as part as her accomplishment too, his recovery time was phenomenal. Best of luck of them, and great health.

This brought a tear to my eye. A few years ago drug addicts caught their house on fire while fighting over drugs. The fire grew to burn down 12 other houses, mine included. Yes one morning I woke up and lost everything I'd ever worked for over someone else's drug habit. The insurance co screwed me over and I got nothing... Seeing this couple overcome extreme hardship makes me cry tears of joy that they made it and gives me hope I can make it. Thank you for this inspiring video.
