Well when they pull out the dining table it's really still quite squished in there between the couch and the fridge. 8:48 is what I mean. @Bryce I love your videos but maybe you can add some practical questions that would help more people choose tiny houses more than just the design like: 1) Work-life balance. What do they do for a living? Are they all homebased professionals? Or do they drive to the city from the farm? 2) Security. Any prevention from thieves when they are all out of the house? Especially houses in the middle of forest/farm with no nearby neighbors. Tiny houses all look so vulnerable to breaking and entering. 3) Education. Homeschool? Or are they close to a school? 4) More children. What if they have more children in the future? What is the plan in the house design? I love the house designs but it would be great to hear these things from actual people living there to give us audience a more realistic view beyond the dream.

Jap Villanueva 1) Normal 'stick n brick' homes are too vulnerable to burglary and theft. They are no different than tiny homes. No homes are 'break in proof'. 2) Most people that live in tiny houses don't have a lot of children. 3) This couple ARE actual people living in their tiny home.

The outdoor makes the indoor feel bigger. When the tour of the inside was being given, in the back of my mind I had the total space available to the property. House may be small but the property itself is bigger than most average suburban block or close to it. I love some of the things in the inside. Specially the large sink, washing a pan in a small sink is messy, and the size of this sink will allow for any family's day to day need. The colour combination is fantastic as well, perfect to brighten the inside and not let the smaller space close in.

The fact they were able to have two gigantic lofted spaces that two full size or bigger beds is awesome... Yes they lack cabinet space compared to others but I think this is the best set up with the most "realistic" amenities. To me also, the washer/dryer is non-negotiable and I love how a "real" one (not a combined machine) was able to fit along with a full size tub! These parents must be in their early 30s-my age-but I don’t possess their same air of adulthood. They could be my mom and dad. They’re the archetypal grown ups. Wild. Why do some people seem so much “older” than their contemporaries?
@danbaltic96784 жыл бұрын
Simple answer - cause you are childless therefore have much less responsibility. Also early thirties is not that young. 40's is just in several years time. And 40's is a middle age.
@tahoe77794 жыл бұрын
No way, 40's for sure.

Having children ages people. Besides, being young at heart is a wonderful quality. Enjoy it while you have it.

Where do people park their tiny home if they don't have wealthy friends or family with lots of spare land?
@EmHeidi5 жыл бұрын
In some of the other videos people rent land in someones backyard, or stay at a trailer park. But indeed most of the tiny houses are on family lots or they have bought land themselves.
@sansewai5 жыл бұрын
Pretty much all of the tiny houses in our area are on someone else's land and they pay the land owners a small rent (like really small, 1/5 of normal rent)
@ElizaDolittle5 жыл бұрын
There are also tiny house communities - for families, for retirees, etc. They don't cost a lot to rent either. I have seen tiny house/rv community by a lake for $250 a month. I guess it's so low because you are only renting a lot.

Watching these tiny houses has really inspired me to consider embarking on a journey to build design and build a similar house in South Africa and this exposure came when I was preparing to purchase a house through a loan but I will not go that loan route any more. Thank you for such a great experience.

Darling home! Their love and investment into their daughter’s childhood is admirable. They see the importance in having plenty of books and outdoor creative fun play space. These girls will have memories to cherish from this experience. 😇💕🎶💐

Any tiny home parking spot that has farm animals is great. The interior of the home was fantastic. All of the recent homes from BC have really impressed me.

This is one of the homiest, lovely tiny's I've seen. So much thought into a beautiful design of space and minimalism without feeling any lack. They could do a little hanging book storage for dad ; ) I love hearing mom say that the girls don't need a lot of clothes. I also love the 'mission statement' of the house. The cost of the house is pretty reasonable considering all they have. Please go back and visit this couple in a year Brice.

Bryce when you review these tiny homes, could you also mention their power and water sources? While the aesthetics are interesting, on another level I'd like to know more practical details. I sometimes wonder how much of their stuff is in storage? Is what we see in the videos all they really own? I look forward to every video you produce, you do a great job.

He almost always does. He didn't need to ask here because they volunteered it or it is plainly evident. They use composting toilet because there is no septic hookup. There's a monster water cistern in back and they have two LP tanks on the tongue and they are obviously tied into the grid (no solar panels).

Wow, that's an amazing example of great parents. So much love and dedication for the little ones. I love it when she said they felt that this is the right time to teach the kids about a simple life. Love the play ground swimming pool and just the set up. Amazing work guys. I love tiny houses

Is there any privacy at all though? Like what happens when the parents have intimate time? Hey kids we are having an earthquake. Close your ears until the house stops shaking.

Emma, when you talked about "less clutter" you touched my heart. Why spend money and time storing and collecting excess stuff when you can live without it? Good for you. You are not faking it! You got the REAL thing. Peace.

God bless this family. I have realized by listening to people, when they talk about their childhood.. I have never heard anyone ever say to me, stuff like, I had a lot of clothes or for that matter really can't remember someone saying, that they had a lot of toys... but they always remember (if they were the lucky and blessed ones) they remember how well they were made to feel and how loved they were... and how they remember spending time with their parents or their loved ones, and these little girls will surely remember ...and the parent's lives are filled with joy because of it... that...... is called love... It is best to learn to live with less earthly possessions, than to live with more, and have no time to love !
@anicole39685 жыл бұрын
Valentin Garcia my things were very important to me and my childhood, but I think I’m a very materialistic person and I’m ok with that. I don’t constantly need to buy new things, and in fact I don’t want to; I choose the things I have carefully, and then they mean a lot to me. I also lost my mother at a young age and bounced around to a lot of different family, so certain possessions of mine were my only constant.
@anicole39685 жыл бұрын
My clothes were so important to me, I would cry when I grew out of something 😂
@valentingarciaable5 жыл бұрын
@@anicole3968 …. That is such a good reply ! I never thought about it like that... it is always good to see things from a different point of view. i don't know if you believe in God and the Lord Jesus, but if you do, IF you do.. ( and i respect if you don't ) but if you do, you have a constant Holy Father and a Holy Mother, because the Holy Spirit is like the mother that nurtures, that never leaves or is taken. but sincerely: thank you for opening my eyes to a new way to look at this. there is always something new to be learned... i wish you many blessings and good fortune ! thank you !
