This is a really brilliant project! Jye has done such an incredible job building his home and the end result is something he can be really proud of. I especially like the way that he used his skills as a photographer to help secure additional materials showing the barter economy is still alive and well! We hope you enjoy the tour of his amazing home! With Love, Bryce & Rasa

By any chance he can build mine? 😅 OMG i adore his style, and since he is a photographer he can add few panoramic pictures along the front entrance … at the back of the bench wall to showcase his work! 😊❤🌅 I don’t think he mentioned: how many weekends took him to do the whole project?

I really like the clean, sleek, airy and organic look of the whole house. Congrats Jye for building the tiny house yourself. My fave part is the loft and the bed that's facing the TV on the wall, different from what we usually see in tiny houses. Never thought of that, and it works so well! Thanks for the awesome video, Bryce and Rasa. Stay safe and healthy!

He, (along with his dad), did an amazing job. The home is really beautiful both inside and out. I love the aesthetic and minimalism. And I like how smart he was to incorporate some wood throughout and the cane in the kitchen storage to bring some warmth and interest otherwise it could've been a little sterile as he pointed out. I think a few art pieces could help to add a little pop of color and more interest. And how lucky he is to have a father that could help him with the build. Not just for the savings in the labor cost as well as the knowledge that he's gained, but more importantly the memory he'll treasure for ever.

What a beautiful home! I really love how spacious the interior is. Hat's off to Jye, especially in relation to the bedroom/loft. In my opinion that really makes or breaks the tiny for me. It's brilliant that he gave himself the room to stand up and all that storage, making the room all day usable, as Bryce pointed out. Many of the sleeping lofts I've seen in tiny homes are almost unusable do to the low ceiling. The outdoor space is delightful as well!

By far, this is the best tiny house I’ve ever seen. This type of house is a dream. It doesn’t feel like you’re compromising your old life in a big house, rather feels like you’re in a hotel or cabin somewhere. Beautiful! I’d love to make one for myself soon. This is an inspiration. As a single young adult, this is all you need. Size is right, everything is perfect.

This guy Jye was the happiest man I have seen in a tiny home. I especially loved to see the generations mix together and help each other out. Here in the US we need to get better at allowing tiny homes. Once our elders get to difficult to care for, we send them away to live in a place they/we can afford. What you get for your money is sad. The skilled folk working there are never paid enough, it is a bad situation unless you are very wealthy. The tiny houses can be built to suit those who need some skilled care. But I can envision tiny homes expanding on this model. Put your tiny home on your parents property. Help build one suitable for their physical restrictions, hire skilled nursing as needed. You could probably pay less, they would be happier, and the generations will learn from each other. If you bought a few acres, as we plan to do, we are planning a "tiny compound" a community like a bycle wheel. A communal hub for everyone to gather, have entertainment - a kitchen, powder room, entertainment space, holiday gatherings with friends. Then spokes of built of walkways frowindows and wooden (enclosed if necessary) walk way to each tiny home. Our parents, in-laws, can live with us off a spoke. Designed with the best features for elderly, even those who might normally be placed in a residence for short or permanently skilled care. We can share so much. Maybe vehicles, chores, eat together, etc. We have a large extended family. We'll have a communal garden, pet and children play areas, a guest tiny, tiny home, it is endless what a family can do together yet still maintain privacy. Sharing costs can allow us to have some acres of land for "crops". 🤣 Oversized garden. We can't agree on where yet, as we have this huge country with ridiculous laws about home types, locations, etc. Some laws are necessary, some are out-dated. But slowly, the average person in the US knows of tiny homes (your channel was my introduction to them, and I knew in heartbeats of watching my first episode that this was my future.) Thanks everyone at LBTH!

Jye, I love what you and Dad have accomplished, this is a stunning tiny home. So much thought has gone into the planning, I like the fact that you were not going to budge on full fridge/freezer, full size oven. Being able to stand up in your bedroom is fantastic, I agree with other comments here, I do not understand why you would want a low bedroom ceiling. Your outdoor area is beautiful, again a lot of thought has gone into planning what will make you happy as well as being practical. This would have to be one of my favourites, bartering who would have thought, $28.000, there you go whaanau, use your skills and talents to help you along financially. Thank you Bryce and Rasa for sharing this stunning little taonga with us.
