Hi Bryce and Carrie, It is really awesome that you make such videos. I love a lot of your videos which appreciate living in a much extroverted way. I just had a question about the bed in Carrie's house, and the bathroom area/ Washing Machine/ Refrigerator area. I want to know how you are fitting all of these things in such a small space? I loved the concept but didn't understand why you went the way you did, as I want to do something similar but for 2 people? also I wanted the exact same bed at my home for the last 10 years, but didn't find this concept video anywhere, so didn't know who to contact. I am a engineer, so I can do the bed part, but I want some guidance. Thank you for reading and Lots of love from India. Regards, Himanshu

Thank you for bringing this tiny house to us! Lovely! Like many, I want to know how it works... I can see there are pulleys on each end of the bed, and a remote operated electric winch lowering the bed platform on steel cables... how did they hide the cables so seamlessly so they all look like part of the wall design? And how is it powered?

I think her house is perfect for someone taller. An Elevator bed is a luxury, but it makes so much sense. A lot for someone so tall would be a pain (I'm imagining bumping my head 🤕😅) The raised kitchen counter is also lovely. The movable wardrobe makes great use of otherwise dead space. Wish they would have shown the mechanics of both bed and wardrobe.

It is nice that her dad is an architect, but a carpenter can figure a the dimensions to build a house. She paid the carpenter for the build. You can even buy an inexpensive shed or barn from Home Depot, etc. and have a carpenter use that to build you a home. It can look a lot different when done.

Another incredible tiny home, and with a TALL person living in it. I am 6'2" and I know that this will be taken into consideration when I build my Tiny Home.

When you are tall, you need to have furniture and sinks at your height. I litterally break my back everytime I do the dishes (I am 1,82meter, apparently in english you say 6ft)

Would love to do the tall counters for my son who is 6’2”. His back hurts all the time from frequently bending for counters and sinks.

This is definitely one of the coolest most functional tiny homes I’ve ever seen. Love how the bed and wardrobe are movable to position over less frequently used spaces.

As someone who is 6'2", I would appreciate all the counter tops being sized for my height! Less back strain.

I never considered that. My next cabinet/counters will be taller! Lol

I am also tall, and have made counter risers for rentals I've lived in and saved my deposit money by doing this as well. Doing so created flat utensil ( oven pans/trays, chopping boards etc) under these risers. Fairly easy to do, easily finished off with granite or tile to adapt a built-in look. One place I did it in I actually raised the existing sink and reset it, replacing setting when I moved. Another place had a "farmhouse" trough style sink which I merely left in place. Both were quite satisfying.

When they got in and did a pan from left to right I thought "where is the bed" then I looked up and noticed the bed but thought "how does she get up there." I then saw those clips on the wall and realized that they had to be moved to let the bed come down and it hit me! SO CLEVER. I also saw the shower curtain but couldn't figure out how they fit a shower. I did notice that that wardrobe seemed detached from the wall but it wasn't until she pushed it that I put (well she put it for me) two and two together! Again, SO CLEVER!

I'm a 6-5" artist as well and just recently moved into a studio apartment that is roughly this size, but not nearly as well thought out. I have done some creative things to make it livable, by building a loft for the bed, but what you have done is beyound cool. The shower shelf concept is money and the decor is beautiful. Seeing other tall people live this way is inspiring. I am all about the experiences and not the stuff, so love everything about this space. I just want to be comfortable and feel good about my little corner of the world, but I don't need a lot. This has inspired me! I love the comments about a tiny space freeing up space in your life and could not agree more. Thanks for sharing your story and your home! (BTW... Your illustrated journals are way cool too)!
