I love how your dolls all have a little story behind them. I especially love the forest creature that dyes the sheep. Awesome.

I am addicted to these wonderful, fun, videos!!! My plan is to make eight senior ladies, representing our senior Bible Study Group! I did them in polymer clay two years ago and they were a big hit. However, they are so hard that they are permanently sitting in the same pose - can't stand or change position. I want them a little more mobile! We are all old, but still mobile!!! LOL!

Re-watching this one so I can make shoes for a little doll I just did, saving my first one for when I get my skin tones from Living Felt. I'm so addicted to felting already & try doing it all just like you teach. I figured starting with small dolls. First one is 11 inches tall but the ones I just started will be much smaller & they need cute shoes! I'll be ready for the big ones & definitely going for the dragon class with you all when I'm more confident.

Hi Marie :) wow! absolutely loving your tutorials on doll making, I am very new to needle felting and I love it , and all your tutorials and advice is really very very helpful, thank you so much for sharing all your talents :) I haven't attempted making a doll yet but have been thinking about it....and you have inspired me to try it out, not sure when but sometime soon :) I also love the idea of trying portraits, landscapes 2D :) Can't wait to watch more of your awesome tutorials, you are very talented, and I love your happy bubbly personality, and your sense of humour too lol.... I practice with combing out pure wool, balls of wool, and some felting needles bought from craft store, so haven't got the delicate needles I need yet but definitely thinking of buying some, as I really enjoy needle felting, (have been practising up to now lol) and would like to get into it more in the future :) I like how your needles are colour coded that is very helpful :) I have a question about your felt squares...are they 12" and 8 in a pack?.... Also what size is your largest grey felting mat please?.... I do apologise probably not the right place to ask you all these questions....thank you for your patience :) well I'm off to watch more of your awesome videos :) Happy creating, have a lovely day :) stay safe and well all of you :) magz :)

Marie at 1:05 you have Santa doing leg lifts 😁 just how malleable is the armature wire? Would it be the same 12 and 14 gauge wire that I could find locally, which is what I got in a crunch? Main thing is I wanted my first to be highly posable. Any thoughts would be great 🤗

If I wish to make a doll with changeable clothes, would you suggest needle felting or wet felting them? My idea is to make two or three clothes for the doll. And my friend can change its clothes from time to time after she received this doll as a birthday gift.
@LivingFelt5 жыл бұрын
Hello Sidney, we would recommend wet felting the clothing....it will be a more stable, stronger fabric. the hands, feet, arms and legs, etc that will get rubbed when the clothing goes on and off...must be really well felted so they do not pill as the clothes are changed.
@suzutakatw5 жыл бұрын
@@LivingFelt Thank you for the suggestion! I'll try very hard to make my doll as well felted as I can. So far I could't felted wool into a shape without being fuzzy😆.

Have you got a list of what needles to use for the different felting that I can print out to keep next to me as I'm felting to refer to.
@LivingFelt6 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracey! Thank you for your question :) Yes! It comes with every pack of needles :)
@traceystudd15516 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the information. Do you import to Australia? I have had a great time felting along with you I have 2 dolls underway and have used you armature to try making a dragon. Have looked at all your videos and find them great. I'm a bit intimidated by the wet felting.
@LivingFelt6 жыл бұрын
Tracey, I am sorry we missed this note. Yes, we ship to Australia and have heard postage is not too bad :) When you buy needles from us, they come on a card that losts all the needle sizes and what they do. For the wetfelting..start small and easy :) We will give more wet felting tutorials this year ♡

Wow!!! you are so talented. I'm new to felting, scared, I am artistic...How about publishing a book step by step guide? Stuffing? Why different size needles? xxx
@LivingFelt6 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen! Thank you for your kind words :) Baby steps is all it takes :) We have LOTS of written tutorials on our website, and some free, plus kits, plus starter videos. Just start with what inspires you. We also have a live broadcast weekly where you can get questions answered...check that out at www.fb.com/livingfelt We also can help answer questions by phone. Different needles have different impacts, much like choosing a knife in the kitchen or a paintbrush when painting. Not much time to make a book :) as I am busy running our shop (online and brick and mortar). We do have a Santa Kit from several years ago which includes many PDF tutorials for the various stages....but these videos represent my latest methods. you can find some free tutorials for needle felting here: feltingsupplies.livingfelt.com/Needle-Felting-Tutorials_c_121.html plus more videos on our channel ;)

Hello! Love this series, have my doll kit on order, can’t wait to start my doll. Is the amount of needle felting we see you doing here, the amount we should expect to do or should we be doing considerably more needling?
@LivingFelt5 жыл бұрын
Hi Danylo! Thank you for joining in and thanks for getting a kit as well :) I would say that for this project, definitely more needle felting is happening off camera....but more along the lines of compaction, and "finishing" = "smoothing" ... we show all the techniques.

WITH PATTERNS - Take your paper patterns, maybe other delicate patterns.. maybe even going to use pattern alot... " Take iron on interfacing.. iron on then cut your pattern.😁 YOU can take your reusable pattern, put it in a school pocket folder, for a filing system.😁 OH AND WRITE ON FOLDER WHAT'S IN FOLDER❣️ I know it takes a little bit time , but not as bad as you think. Just cover ironing with cheap fabric and Some sort of durable paper (butcher paper or what they use for sublimating shirts) This is to protect your iron. It be a bit sticky. BUT TAKING THOSE STEPS YOU WILL BE SO GRATEFUL.🙏👍🤗
@tammysoutherland14053 жыл бұрын
Protect your ironing board and iron. The sublimating paper or butcher paper helps💡🙋
