1800 acre State Park, with a Pete Dye trail golf course and mountain bike/hiking trails. Phenomenal restaurants of all kinds snd live theatre witthin 20 minutes, great schools (best Spanish immersion program in the country), and a lot of diversity. Bike trails go all the way to downtown Indy on the fall creek Greenway. You obviously missed the cultural campus.

Where my parents and I lived for 26 years. MUCH has changed in the areas where we lived. I'll be seeing the area again soon while at my L.C.H.S. belated class reunion. Thinking strongly of staying at Fort Harrison while at the reunion. Got a few classmates who have golf as their fun. Geist also...have a few classmates in that area. Nice homes...nice friends. Good review, Jason. Glad you did one on the area. Have you done one about the Southport area? Another fond place I loved.

I have watched a LOT of your videos. What sets you apart is your refreshing honesty. I am in the Portland area but due to taxes and extremely high cost of housing that seems "dumpy" for the cost, it seems compelling to seek out a new place to call home. I lived in Omaha several years ago and loved the wholesome environment of the Midwest. Plus, I now have family living in Michigan and Missouri. Indianapolis is a draw for me primarily for the pristine neighborhoods of the suburbs, and for all the trees. So far, I like Brownsburg and possibly Noblesville best. I also loved your video on Cicero (I love boating & marinas), but someone else did a video on Cicero and it seemed kinda dumpy in the parts shown. I like Carmel & Fishers along with Zionsville BUT they are just too crowded for anything but visiting!

Your videos are a lifesaver. Finally moving to Indy after a year of waiting and I keep seeing houses in my price range in this area. I finally visited a week ago and saw some areas that were questionable, but also a lovely older neighborhoods. Looking at buying a condo on Winding Wood and would love an updated video. Hard to find much under $200k in this area anymore

Thanks! No trail from Lawrence to connect with the Monon unfortunately. They're fairly far apart.

@@LivingInIndianapolis The Fall Creek Path greenway does connect with the Monon trail by the fairgrounds. I've read they are going to continue that trail through Fort Harrison State Park to the Geist Dam. The only issue I've seen in my search, is to find a good bike path from the houses to that trail. Google maps shows bike friendly roads, but they don't have bike lanes. I also saw "INDY GREENWAYS FULL CIRCLE MASTER PLAN" mention a proposed path along 71st street, but I haven't see any news about that lately.

Well I know one thing for sure. I'm colored and there was a time you see when my types of folks wasn't all that azpected in Lawrence by the people. Scept maybe a few that worked hard. I drove an old Buick Electra for years and was always getting stopped after dark on that Pendleton Pike of course if there two of us. Nowadays it's not so bad. Folks are getting along better except for shootings. Lawrence is fine now except for the gas station by the high school which is bad except for the chicken. Have a good day,move to Lawrence,it's fine now people's.
