Raleigh is close enough to Asheville. I'd say people who love snow can move to Raleigh and visit Asheville for skiing/snowboarding.

Raleigh was great in the 90s but not anymore. The infrastructure is struggling to keep up with the growth and it's becoming way too corporate for me.

I used to want to live in Raleigh but as I got older, it appealed to me less and less. The primary reason was the traffic. I settled in Wilson, which is 40 miles east of Raleigh. It is a city of about 50k people. Big enough for most everything I want or need but not too big to make getting around difficult. It’s home now.

Yes, not much is really changing in NC because we’ve already had buyer agency agreements in place. However, buyers may not be allowed to view homes with an agent without a signed agreement should the settlement go through. Sellers will decide what they want to offer to the buyer agent and they are not required to do so. This has never been a requirement in NC, and has always been driven by the market conditions, so not much is changing there, other than it won’t be displayed in the MLS. You will likely see agents who don’t want to work hard for their clients and do the bare minimum leave the industry, which would be a good thing.

Depending on where your job is there are a couple areas where you could get by such as DT Raleigh, West Raleigh near NCSU, North Hills, or Downtown Durham area. But yes, probably a good idea for to learn

I’m a florida native wanting to move near the Raleigh area and this video could have very well been about florida 😅 I’m planning to visit at the end of the year to get a feel for the smaller towns outside of Raleigh because I want to get away from traffic and overcrowded scene of Orlando. The fact that Raleigh is growing scares me, I’m tired of growth and I’m sick of tourists.

I’m a native North Carolinian and can attest to how parts of Raleigh are no longer recognizable. Even the smaller towns are not so small anymore with the tremendous outgrowth we’ve seen here in the past couple of decades.

Yes, but it would be challenging. It would be beneficial to move to an area that has all the amenities nearby such as North Hills, Downtown Raleigh, Village District, etc.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you have too, and public transportation is not good. You would have to live near shopping and restaurants.
