I just got all my vachetta and hardware replaced on my vintage speedy 25 I purchased from eBay and it took two weeks exactly. It usually took 6-8 weeks but I was so surprised it only took two weeks.

Nice piece. You are fortunate that LV had repaired your wallet. I took my neverfull to LV, today, to have the leather replaced, it was bought from the preloved market and did not come with an LV receipt. LV store declined to send for a replacement of the leather, I was not so lucky.

I love how slouchy and comfy they look. Have you seen the LV valentines nano speedy? It’s darling. It’s baby pink patent and has a baby pink love heart key pull with LV on it. You would love it I think. 💕

I’m so inspired by you to check out the preloved market 💕. You see, I’m a germophobe, and I also like my things in pristine condition. But you’ve taught me that I can get them sent in for a holiday, get a clean-up and have worn parts replaced. I can’t remember if you’ve talked about preloved Chanel though - do you know if they provide such services?

Corrine you may want to check with your LV store if they accept bought preloved items to be repaired. I bought a preloved neverfull from Vestiaire Collective recently and took it to our one and only LV store, where I live, and they said they need the receipt/a purchase history to be able to send to LV for repair. I could not present the LV receipt so my neverfull was not accepted by the store for repair.

I brought in my own LV Noe to be repaired about 10 years ago. The bag was about 25 years old at that time and I didn’t have the receipt but they accepted it. Not sure why.

Gorgeous pieces! I LOVE them!! The early 2000s is a fabulous period. The GM pink is great for travel because lightweight and the capacity is excellent. The green one is terrific. The black PM Alma with the studs...great look! Edgy with a twist. I appreciate your fanaticism. I also love Tom Ford for Gucci for this period. He was/is fabulous. The quality at this time was still stunning. I'm pleased you're getting the leather replaced, I was holding back on sending to LV because I heard they aren't using great quality leather. But if you're confident and happy with what they're doing great to know. It was just someone drumming up business, repair work. However as we all know once you entrust your bag to nonLV repairer it's no longer an LV. Pretty much. I'm not keen on them removing the inside ID and just replacing with electronic embedded tag. But what can you do? It's that or the non LV repairer.

Because I went to LV in Collins St Melbourne and an SA (Manuel) told me they would replace all the leather (no point being patchy) , remove the date tag and just leave an electronic embedded tag. He checked it over and was a bit suspicious of me until he realised it was authentic. They are very scared of people potentially 'flipping' LV vintage. When he said the tag would be removed I didn't like the idea. I also can't find his card. Losing all aspects of the vintage seemed pointless to me. It's like pretending to be something that it isn't (i.e. new.) The canvas is quite intact but obviously not new. The older canvas is actually thicker anyway. So you have no problems with the leather quality? (Someone from Evans repair was telling that LV uses inferior leather these days. But I am not sure I believe her. She was very pushy which I hate). If you're happy with the LV leather I will go for it with LV! Especially if they use treated leather even better. It's been occupying space in my shelves. Looking pathetic...lol!
