Breathtaking scenery. Fun to watch Dude with the snow, looks like he was having a good time as much as you were. That wind was howling pretty good across that snow. That was a very steep slope that you were perched on at only a couple hundred feet from the top. My initial response was, "Good enough. Time to turn back." You are the man Woods. Thanks for taking us with you. I nearly felt that I was with you with every step you took. Watching your decent was a lot of fun, and the drive down was just as spectacular as the drive up. Stay safe my friend, God bless. Praying for your next trip to fare well and bode good weather.

Now that was just dandy Dave. What a workout that is hiking on snow. That Dinga is a hoot! Good thing it was cold the night before and ya got up before breakfast...or you'd have been in a post-holing nightmare! Looks like ya might have to invest in some micro-spikes - they sure make a difference. My hiking has been kaboshed as my mom fell and broke her nose and both wrists. So, we're keeping the road hot between her town and ours. It's a bummer sometimes making it to 96 years young. I'm with ya - I been to a town! haha. Thanks for taking us along brother! Blessings to you and the Mrs.!

Right on Woods, great job getting your first peak of the season. Yeah the snow will be around a bit longer this year, it was quite a winter. Dinga had a couple nice rolls there, don't think he was expecting the snow to be so hard. Great summit through tough conditions, and a fun, quick descent. Take care, Nick

Wow, fantastic hike and a beautiful looking area. I had to chuckle a bit when you said Dude was getting ragged out. I'm pretty sure that's what he was thinking about you. Loved the glissading on the way down. Nothing like a frozen wedgie to cheer you up, you even got a bonus pine tree wedgie. Do you carry any traction devices for the steep areas near most peaks? It didn't look too bad since you had a few inches of soft snow but it might have been tough if it was frozen solid. We carry micro spikes when we are peak bagging. Love your personal challenge and I think I will call you mt peakbagger from now on. Congrats on peak #1 and thanks for taking us along, it made my day! Towns aren't much good for us either except for the grocery store.

The Dude sure seems to love the snow. Enjoyed watching him play around in it! And you, sliding back down the mountain! that was fun to watch too. Awesome video Woods! Gonna be out that way next week. I think we are going to be in Bozeman on the 14th. not sure what the Ms.' has planned for us, other than driving up from Gardiner, stopping at the Museum of the Rockies.... I know there are a lot of historical stuff we plan on seeing too. Not a lot of high adventure. She's pretty beat up. I think easy day hikes and historic and scenic tourist stuff. Anyway, I'll shoot ya my number in a P.M. maybe we could hook up for dinner that evening, if Bozeman isn't to far away from ya. I know how you feel about towns though........... I understand

Just saw the second part of your comment Karl...we are about thirty five miles straight north from Gardiner on hwy 89, nine miles south of Livingston, you could give my cell a ring when your coming through to Bozeman...stop by the music ranch (thats where we live) for a visit...my cell is 406-579-1505...atb...woods, aka Dave

Hey there, just watched your video and I wish I had seen the road going up to the trail head. I’m really curious about the curvy part. I know it’s only open in the summer. If you ever get a chance and are in the area, I sure would love to see that road. Dreaming about Montana from Florida… Thanks for your video. It’s better than Prozac. :-)

Gee Woods , I was going to offer some advice on descending mountains... it's called the tuck & roll method... anyway once you get rolling there's a nice protective layer of a few tonnes of snow & ice. it always breaks apart harmlessly at the bottom. easy peasy what could possibly go wrong ;) well you distracted me with the shout out ... my first ever Thanks. I noticed the spike in interest but had no clue why... I was so busy lately I had to make this video a 3 part series :) Dinga loves the snow - to funny :) fantastic view you have over there. Odd you should mention it "That Fishy Thing" I should have about 50 to sell really soon the light camping model. the parts just landed on my desk. I need to crimp the cables on... ect. I should be into full production, well... ? soonish . I did a destruction test- it looks good ! I mean the results, the film is a bit tragic... I got exasperated editing & thought I'd finish climbing Livingston..( I didn't get tired at all ). boy you sure cheered me up with that ! I appreciate your support and encouragement along the way . it's nice to know there's people and interest out there. take er easy Woods Jared
