Hi Kay, your home is coming along beautifully.. Little & often is definitely the way to go👍🏼 Remove your extractor fan grills along with your oven racks & pop them into the dishwasher once a month, it’s easy, stress-free maintenance, they will look great after a cycle in the dishwasher.. Always look forward to your vlogs. 😁 😻😻

Baby oil or WD40 will keep your stainless steel backsplash and hood looking shiny without streaks. Just buff until all the excess oil is removed. It sounds counter intuitive but it does work. Better than specific stainless steel cleaners. Also for your windows, it is easier to use washing up liquid and then a squeegee with a final buff using a glass micro fibre cloth is a quick and straightforward way to clean the finger marks. Well done Kay, a job well done x

Love cleaning vlogs - always makes me think I want to clean - but then I lie down till the feeling goes away 😂 But yes it is genuinely motivating. I used to have a vax cylinder hoover when the make was fairly new and it was amazing - having curly hair that cast a lot the uprights were a nightmare to clean but the vax was amazing - and no replacement bags either. Just bought a cloth one and washed it every so often. I think we had it for 20 years until we had a blocked chimney and my husband had the great idea of using it for that - then work in the garden and it was relegated to the garage for all the messy jobs. Did you try Bacardi of soda and vinegar mixed to a paste and scrub the marks on the stairs with that ? I have used it before and marks came off after just leaving it for around 10-15 minutes. Also makes it fresh. Worth a try anyway 😊

For the backsplash behind your hob, try barkeepers friend cream. Leave it on for a couple of minutes then rinse it off and buff with a clean cloth. Melamine pads do a great job too. Or the TINIEST amount of baby oil rubbed all over it will get rid of the streaks and finger marks, and make it smell nice.
