The sound of that creek is one of my favorites for being lulled to sleep. You just have to keep an eye out for the weather, and move away if it starts raining. Depending on the surrounding terrain, water from higher ground can get funneled down, and pretty soon that babbling brook will become a raging torrent.

Out of the many Westfalia Vanagons I’ve seen, you truly have an excellent set up. The only thing that I was surprised to find out from this video is that your rear cabin AC unit didn’t work and instead of fixing it (if that’s was possible) you didn’t replace it. I say that because I’ve slept in vans and campers during the hot summer months without air conditioning and for me it’s absolute torture. So if I rocked a Vanagon like yours I would definitely invest in an AC unit but again, that’s just me. Clearly the temperatures out in the Pacific Northwest most be cool at night and if that’s true than I can see why you don’t need one. Whenever I watch one of your videos I get so inspired to go out and experience the outdoors. It also inspires me to build a rig so I can just pick up and go like you. The most important things I’ve learned from your van adventures is to keep things simple, find out what works for you, be prepared for life’s surprises, and staying organized is key. Chad my man, I love your van, your videos, and you’re just a super cool dude! Thanks for sharing another great video and as always, I look forward to seeing the next one! Cheers bro!

I guess being a house dweller who occasionally camps during the summer time, I’m always looking for a way to stay cool. Where I live it’s difficult trying to sleep in the hot summer months because it gets extremely humid in the evenings. I've loved camping as a kid. It brings back memories although we slept in a tent with on lot showers . We had a large tent 6 cots and two sleeping bags. 6 kids in our family. Camped at bar harbor maine, the white mountains, etc. Dad made a homemade small trailer to pack all our stuff in and toed it in back of the car. We left conn. For 1 week every summer. I am in my middle seventy so it was a long time ago. I still enjoy watching you camp.
