I say, thank you ever so much my friends, for taking me on another of your super walks around my old town - which as you know I miss terribly :( So lovely to see the Covered Market once again open for business and looking absolutely splendid, and that life is returning back to normal in many ways. With this video I think you have managed to strike a reasonable balance between academic and retail Oxford - beautifully filmed with your trademark steady camera - very well done indeed - thank you :)

Well good morning to you Mr T, we were thinking of you when we put this up and hoping you'd see it and enjoy another bit of your old town which we do know you miss terribly. Life is indeed returning to normal and it feels good to see folk out and about again doesn't it. Always a great pleasure to connect with you and we hope to bring you more to come! All the best to you for now.

@@LivingWalks Hello, and thank you so much for finding the time to reply. Sadly, New Zealand remains some way behind, with many people continuing to live in fear and trepidation of Covid, staying masked up - although I discontinued that while ago - I have lived through far worse !!!!!!! If ever you should walk once again around Oxford, I would not be totally displeased if you went past Merton College - for an obvious reason :) One of Oxford`s oldest colleges, and the cobbled Merton Street would appear to be almost as old !!!!!!!!!! Nice that you walked past Blackwell`s Bookshop - I paused the video by the bookshop entrance, reminding myself of the many younger me`s - going in with a pocketful of money, and coming out with an armload of books - and still have books on order fifty years later !!!!! Memories, and isn`t that what such videos are all about - my thanks as always :)

Good morning to you Mr T, that is rather sad to hear that many people in New Zealand are remaining to live in fear and trepidation of Covid. I do very much hope things get better soon in that regard. It's not easy for people I know but we have to live. We'll bear that in mind next time we walk around Oxford re' Merton College and Merton Street. Mike did do a walk around some of the college gardens last time, I'll have to check to see which ones. Glad you enjoyed the pause at Blackwell`s Bookshop to remind yourself of your younger 'me`s'. We're always happy to be your eyes and ears through your beloved town. All the best until next time.

@@LivingWalks Hello, and thank you again for your kind and thoughtful response. An old academic colleague of mine has sent me some wonderful videos filmed inside Merton and associated colleges, and there are a number of other super walks around Oxford that have been uploaded to KZbin - so,in a sense I am well provided for - but always keen and interested to see more :) Thanks once again, and take care !!

Thank you. You are the first that I have seen of the city walks that have gone through the Covered Market. I wish that you would have shown the Sheldonian, one of the most important buildings in the city, as that is where the graduation ceremonies are held. It is a beautiful place.

Hello Steven, thanks for dropping by, I'm glad you enjoyed the walk. Ah we'll have to go in the Sheldonian next time, I'm sure we'll be back to film more of the lovely town. Thanks for your feedback.
