Exploring Colchester town UK & Christmas Lights | Evening Walking Tour

Filming Britain's oldest recorded town on our brand new camera - the DJI Pocket 2. We'll see the Colchester Xmas lights, and experience Christmas in Colchester for ourselves. Colchester was the first Roman founded outpost in Britain, and for a time was the capital of Roman Britain. It is still home to the famous Colchester Castle, which is believed to be haunted, and the popular Colchester Zoo. In this evening virtual walking tour, we'll navigate the centre of the oldest town in England at dusk and enjoy the Colchester Christmas Lights 2020.

I live here. It's great! There are 11 cinemas in walking distance of my house. The Castle Park is huge and has lots of interesting trees and the Colne river runs through it.

My dearest friends !! Here I am !! As always, I have some free time on Saturday morning to enjoy your walk in peace! How nice to see the Christmas atmosphere, the lights, the decorations and a few people around ... Definitely less than there usually would be, I guess, but still nice, to see people walking with packages of gifts ... It seems to be a little more normal! Here the shops have been reopening for a week and there are a lot of people around. Too much, in my opinion. I don't wish we had to pay a price later for this. Anyway! Colchester seems so beautiful! I didn't know it was the first Roman outpost in Britain. Nice to know! Hope to visit one day! I embrace you strong. Joyful and blessed weekend, waiting for Christmas. Love you! Renata

Dearest friend, As always it's wonderful to hear from you. It's lovely to see any Christmas atmosphere, and people around at the moment isn't it. We enjoyed being there for that reason. So in Milan the shops have been reopening for a week. I can well imagine there are a lot of people around. As you say, we'll have to see how it all goes after Christmas with the repercussion. At least for now it's nice to feel a little freedom. We are still planning to go to Madeira next Friday 18th for 3 weeks to do some filming and soak up the sun, hopefully it will still happen. Hope to speak again before we go. All our love to you.

We'd love to do that @@NewWalker. It'd hopefully be good for both of our channels as we're unlikely to travel to either place ourselves in the near future. Anytime you have some footage of NY and you want to do that we'd be interested. We particularly like the evening footage in the winter, maybe somewhere padestrianized? We could maybe do you a South Bank or Covent Garden film in return, as they are also pedestrianized? Anyway just a thought.

Hi there Sushmitha, this was filmed with the pocket osmo which has a built in stabiliser. If I were to give any advice I'd say to do what you love and stick to it in the long term with lots of consistent content. Best of luck.
