Amazing and lovely vid. Nice to listen to you and your being modest which I appreciate very very much! It reminds me a bit of the working system of a L jetronic that I had on a buddy’s early BMW E30 323i. Not the e21, which was K jet, but e30 L jet. Is this correct? The “early version of the crank position sensor” as shown in the video is also there on the L jet if memory serves correctly. Being passionate about classic cars, here’s a new subscription! Cheers from Belgium!

Thank you so much! I'm.really happy that you enjoy it! My first car had L-jetronic on it, it was a 1985 Alfa Romeo Spider. It was a good system too, I found it to work well.

Adam. Another excellent video - very informative - I loved the practical demonstration of disconnecting the sensor below the throttle body to show how the engine bogs down under acceleration. Peter

Thank you for this video Adam, I found the whole thing fascinating, I am completely clueless about fuel injection, most of my cars have been earlier carb models. I would be thrilled if you were to make a second series in the future

I would love a detailed setup video of D Jetronic. One bank of my car is running rich at cold but mostly clears up when up to temp. Great vid as always, keep em coming, they are a great help to me. 👏

Mine did a similar thing but only once it was warm. It was also richer on one bank then. Thank you for the support!

I also add the very important info that the injectors are working on 3 volts , the sistem with trigger points. So.,don t apply 12 volts when cleaning, because you can burn the coil. Great vid btw , i love D Jetronic ,and now i have on the table a nice Benz 300 SEL /9 3.5 i have to bring back to flight Cheers mate!✌️🥇😎🌞

Hi Adam, I've been binge watching your V12 videos. Great information!! As you know I am restoring a 72 XJ6, but I also have a 1971 XJ that is missing an engine and tranny. I have a lead on a V12 from a 1976 Jag and thinking I might pair it with a manual tranny and upgrade the fuel injection to a modern ITB system controlled by a MegaSquirt or similar. What would be your thoughts? Any warnings or things to look out for regarding the engine? Cheers.

The ECU is an old analog computer. Easy to understand and repair if you have the drawings.

I am coming back to review the video. I was having difficulties on identifying the fuel injection system on an m30 BMW engine. I am 100% sure that ignition is not controlled by the ecu. Only a signal from the distributor for telling engine speed and thus how many and when which quantity of fuel needs to be injected. However, I am not sure whether it is Djet or Ljet... Edit: wrote this before rewatching. Now that I am proceeding in the video, as you start talking about the magnet of the rotor arm, it even confuses me more. And how are they fired in a d jetronic? Each one separately when the injection is needed or?

I have a 1986 6cyl 3.6 jaguar xjs . The problem is when slowing down when engine speed comes down to 1300rpm the engine switches on & of rapidly causing the car to rudder. I am told that it is because the inlet manifold vacuum is low although engine runs fine & the ecu needs modification to cope with that. Have you any info on this mod.

you should have consulted with harry at harrys garage who gave up on his after rebuilding so much of it! he was probably a bad sensor or stuck injector away from it all working !!

I guess if it hase crabk sensor ans sequential injection the injectors should be electric.in that case in my opinion it us more advance system then K or KE where the injection is constant.correct me if i am wrong

Hi! I would like to hear your opinion about this problem with the MAP on the M110 engine of my 1975 Mercedes W116. The engine sputters when I accelerate and if I remove the MAP hose the engine accelerates normally, even with the manifold hole plugged. Attached is the video. Thank you! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZfKpp1tpdt9lac
