52 now with xxy.....I always felt shy growing up and what took my brother little effort to do ie sports or academics it took me 2 or 3 times the effort.....I did it and few would know the struggle I had.. I had loving, caring parents.....they never knew I was xxy....but to them I just needed a little extra help....xxy didn’t prevent me from doing anything I wanted...it just didn’t come as easy for me as it did for others.....maybe I appreciate it more....

what do you think about testosterone therapy, won't that fix many of the issues caused by xxy ?
@LivingwithXXY2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the person, how their body reacts to xxy. There is a spectrum and everyone is different. At the end of the day working hard at everything you do will increase your chances of greater sucess.

@@LivingwithXXY people with xxy have more mood swings and less energy than normal, and testosterone therapy stabilizes mood and increases energy

Does the syndrome tend to cause deformity in the sides? I notice people who have it their sides look funny the sides go straight up and down. There is a piece of meat that sticks out on my sides.

Hey, I think my boyfriend might have this syndrome but we are still waiting for a kariotype test. He has the typical body type with larger chest, asthma, always shy, a lot of mood swings. He is trying to currently lose weight with every possible diet and it doesn't seem to work. Do You think it might be impossible for him as long as he doesn't get professional treatment/takes hormones?

Everyones body is different. I do know guys who have gone on TRT and their life went 180 for the better. Everything is worth trying, TRT is long term and takes a bit of getting used to figuring out the correct dose.
