Of course it is safe now, but this can not be guaranteed, we will soon have the West led by the US and the UK to bomb the shit out of Xinjiang to liberate Muslims from their fabricated oppression...just like they did in Iraq, now that the US has pulled out of Afghanistan, they will be itching for another genocide.

Ahh Tianshan looks stunning! And that taxi driver was so on point: if a country is not run well, it won't matter even if you have more police.
You can notice that the streets of all places are hung with round lanterns, in fact, the traditional Chinese lantern is not like this, this spherical red lantern is specially designed to celebrate the founding of New China, meaning “团圆”, 团圆 is composed of two Chinese characters, one is "团", which means reunion and unity. One is "圆", which means round and perfect, so China usually uses round things to represent perfect unity. This lantern also means that 56 ethnic minorities are united and not one can be ignored.

So true what that guy said, even if there are more police it won't run well, it shows how well China's re-education programs worked after decades of extremism. A textbook example is the US, they like to use force when it comes to dealing with terrorism/extremism, it's either the law/sanctions, cops/military intervention, and in the end it just keeps escalating, I guese it could be the military industrial complex pushing from the back.
