There seemed to be some confusion throughout the comments, so we thought we would help you all understand why we chose Grech RV to to be Ambassadors and test their product. 1st, we felt the Grech RV product is superior over the competition. They also were fine with us providing full disclosure of any problems/issues we have with the product during our testing and reviews. THE BIG DIFFERENCES... COST COMPARISON: The Grech base price on a 2023 Strada (propane) is $225,900. Versus the Airstream Interstate 24GT 2023 MSRP of $237,660 after destination charge. The base price of the Grech 2023 Strada-ion is $244,900 versus the Airstream Interstate 24GT with E1 (lithium battery) package is $262,360 after their destination charge. BATTERY POWER: It is also very important to note that the lithium-ion battery package that Grech uses has 25% higher capacity than the Airstream E1 package. This is the result of Grech RV using Lithionics batteries which are 100% manufactured in Clearwater, FL versus the Airstream E1 package which is a Volta system that is made with re-branded Chinese batteries. MATERIALS: The cost of the materials that Grech uses is higher than that of the Airstream brand. Grech RV has higher quality materials in some areas than Airstream and they do not have THOR’s buying power and still keeps their price below that of the comparable model of Airstream. Airstream also gets more aggressive pricing on their Sprinter chassis from Mercedes-Benz. Grech uses a solid birch wood for their cabinets that are imported European veneers. The Grech seating is manufactured by Premier Products, the same seating manufacturers as Airstream. The seating is more expensive than Airstream as Grech has opted to use a higher quality memory foam on the rear sofa bed, which we have noticed makes a HUGE difference. The Grech Chiliwich flooring is identical to Airstream and they use a dual laying composite subfloor. AFTER SALES SUPPORT: Grech RV is not a publicly traded conglomerate with multiple layers of bureaucracy and red-tape; Grech tells us that their goal will never be cost reduction measures to satisfy share holders and their mission is to delivery the highest quality Class B Van and provide the best after sales support. As a family-owned, independent manufacturer, they have the ability to quickly resolve any problem, whether that be through continuous refinement and progressional improvement of their products or responding to a motorhome owner’s service needs. If a Grech RV owner has a high-level warranty issue that a dealer cannot resolve, Grech says that they do not hesitate to send their factory technician across the country to resolve the concern. We have really noticed that they take pride in knowing their products will meet the highest standards of the most discerning buyers. We do NOT get any kickback from Grech RV for our reviews or explaining any of this to you all. Again, we are simply testing the Grech RV product and do our job by providing honest feedback for you, our viewers, so that you can make a well informed decision.

@SOCIALCOMMUNICATION True. Not missing the cons of having them though. Pros and cons to each. We have enjoyed the conveniences and was of travel over the once a week laundry benefit. Laundry now is done quicker, being able to do it all at once in multiple machines. However, having your own washer and dryer is nice too. It all depends on what matters most to each of us, not just one persons view. 👍🏻

There’s something magical about your relationship💕 As a retired pilot, I have a 31 foot airstream in my backyard… It’s been there for three years. Retired pilots if they’re like me, they don’t wanna go anywhere. I use my airstream to go sit and be quiet and still. If I were to travel, I like the class B option and I would be a Boondocker because I can’t imagine being in an RV park. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I get a lot of joy from them. 🙏

very nice overview of your new home. We are not full timers, but 70-150 night per year part timers, and travelling all over the place. We do the tow vehicle and travel trailer thing. Not sure we could do what you guys are up to with the class B, but I really appreciate the tour and seeing how you do manage it. Picked up a couple of really good tips from this video as well. That is one of the great parts of RVing, all sorts of different types of rigs and it is just a matter of each figuring out what suits them best. There is no right rig or wrong rig after all. Really looking forward to keeping track of your travels this year, and seeing how you do make out in this RV. Looks like you have things very well organized and figured out. Safe travels and keep up the great work.

Congratulations and welcome to "free range" travel. We have the 170 extended class B and we love it and also love the convenience and ease of driving and parking that it provides.. There are some who consider and expect camping to be an extension of the comforts that one has at home and you will always encounter naysayers and that is well and good for them! We have traveled for the last 4 years in our a minimum of 6 months a year and do have a small condo in Palm Desert for a home (winter) base. We are leaving in two days for the Canadian Rockies and will be able to access areas pretty much limited to smaller rigs! Within a few months you will make the rig to suit yourself! Our bathroom is about the same size and one of the first thing I replaced was the crappy shower head for an oxygenic! It made a big difference, also a teak floor rack is a must. I use a squeegee to wipe down the walls and floor for a quick clean up. You have a great rig and a sweet deal to boot! Enjoy and happy trails! On a side note I love pie also and know of great pie places along the trip and can't wait for our first stop and the Alabama Hills cafe in Lone Pine!
@LivinRVision2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. We use a squeegee also and always have even when we were in the sticks and bricks. We found a flexible auto squeegee that makes getting in the hard areas easier. We can only do so much since the rig is not ours though. Thanks again and can’t wait to hear about the pie place. 😊🤓

@@LivinRVision You put the hammock so that it is below top edge of the sofa back so it doesn’t block the back window. You have storage boxes back there so you probably don’t need a hammock as you can put your rolled bedding on top of the boxes.

Very nice class B van. Not sure if I would live full-time in it - if I was alone probably yes. But for vacations and cross country trips this would be fantastic. I think it would be nice if they offered a split couch, so that each side had their own controls to recline/sleep. One other draw back this is your vehicle/home. So I wager you’ll have to plan accordingly for grocery/hardware/clothes shopping not to mention eating out.

One of the items that, for the life of me, make absolutely no sense in any class B, Super B or most class C’s is the large farm style sink. Based on the facts that we have limited counter space, limited fresh water, and limited grey tank space, a huge sink that can hold 5 to 10 gallons of water while reducing the counter space seems to be the most illogical accessory to install. I realize that there is a certain “Wow” factor when we first see the sink in our initial walk through, but unless you’re sitting on the counter washing your feet (or large dog) in the sink, a small useable sized sink makes much more sense. I’ll take more counter space and a more efficient use of the water systems anyway over a large infrequently used (twice a day for 5 minutes) hole in the counter any day. Thanks for yet another wonderful, friendly, no ego video!❤️
@LivinRVision Жыл бұрын
As far as more counter space, it would be hard to wash certain sized pots and pans for those that need to cook more than for one person. We can see your point for the depth though. It’s hard for any manufacturer to make an RV that fits everyone’s needs OR stay in the market with their competition.

My husband , son and I lived in a class C for 3 years. I appreciated the regualr size sink. I was still cooking with big pots and pans. And they would be impossible to wash in a teeny tiny sink 😅

Beautiful RV. For me the cons out way the pros quite a bit. I would get claustrophobia really bad living in it full time or even for a weekend. I need a bit more room, way to small for me. I like having a bed that you don't have to put together every night. I'm with Michelle, the bathroom. It would be a deal breaker for me. It really doesn't feel like it would be a great fit to have guests either. We started out in a pop up camper and I always felt like our family was on top of each other. This probably would make me feel the same way. It has some cool features that I really like though. I love the drain system, water, electric hook ups a LOT! I realize that everyone has in mind what works best for them. I totally support that!! What works for me is not what is important. What works for you all is most important here. I hope you enjoy your new RV and make many, many memories! Thanks for the tour!

People don’t get a class fee to have people over, they usually buy them for their own ease of traveling. The bed and any other con is just something you have to deal with to get the pros you are looking for. We all have things that are most important to us and we just can’t listen to others…just do what’s best for you. There’s a good reason why all Class Bs sell and why so many choose them, just like any other RV. 👍🏻

This is amazing. Love it. But I couldn't live in it full time. Even for our 6 week summer trips we love having a big outside setup so we need the truck to carry it all. Good Luck and safe travels. Love watching you two.

Great video! I have to say, we are impressed with your storage ability but to answer your question, no, neither Tony nor I could couple it in that rig…even as nice as it is. We both feel it is too cramped; too closed in. Look forward to your future videos and adventures. Y’all are great!

It has more interior storage than we thought, especially with the big space in the overhead in the back. The retractable sewer hose and valve / pump arrangement is pretty cool. Not sure how the wet bath would work for us. Way different lifestyle than "Vinnie". Bottom line - IT'S REALLY COZY!!

I’m impressed indeed. Thanks for the tour. How long did it take you to learn all the functions on this van? I must say, this is the best Class B I’ve seen yet. I’m sure the price reflects all the available functions. I could live in this van solo. My hubby, well that’d be a different story. I’m sure we’d make it work in time. I LOVED those beds! Happy trails and thanks again for all your hard work to present this tour. I’ll probably watch this video several times to get all the details. LOL, I need more coffee Saturday mornings. That’s my excuse anyway.

It’s a slow progress but it’s been easy to figure out everything. We’re sure there’s more yet to figure out. 😂

You should try sweet potato fries in the air fryer. Yum. Easy. I peel and cut finger size sweet potato logs. Use a 12” x12” wax paper and any other way you want, just olive oil coat the logs by rolling the drizzled olive oil and evenly coat the potatoes and air fry for 15 min on 350’. The time and temp may need to be adjusted according to the wattage. At done, while still hot lightly sprinkle pink Himalayan salt! Enjoy. I paired it with salmon Patties. More yum and easy!

Looking forward the Star Link Review. I have one on order for my home in North GA Mountains since Feb 2021. Apparently the new system allows for mobility.

Make the kitchen extension almost full length with stronger supports with a release at the front then the passenger seat could be turned around and the table would serve as a desk also.

Grech RV released an improvement to the 2024 model with a longer recessed table into the side of the kitchen cabinet. Our recent video shows how we solved the desk issue with a steering wheel desk that has been working great.
